Guys & Girls:
Almost all the guys seem to have the need to be single, and desire to "hook up" with as many girls as possible. Few guys are truly interested in relationships at this school. And most girls are either in relationships, or they "hook up" with all the single guys, no strings attached.

There are many different people here that come from many different backgrounds. There are a variety of religious groups at my school. There is also many sexual orientations, and a variety of political beliefs. People of many economic backgrounds seem to be evident on campus as well.

Some athletic teams are shown more attention than others. For example, the girls volleyball team or the boys ice hockey team. These teams are two of the better sports teams at my school, and receive the most fan support. School spirit could be better, and the weight room and cardio room could use a cleaning more often. A lot of the students do not keep the gym organized or respect the property. The equipment quality could be better, some of the circuit machines have the potential to actually harm your joints more than benefit. There could also be more equipment provided for students because during certain hours, at night, the gym gets so crowded and it is hard to get the equipment you want.

Our school charges students to print out papers. And nursing students, like myself, and forced to either buy our own printers or pay lots of money to print out our required paper work and work sheets. There are always computers available somewhere on campus, and students do not necessarily need a computer of their own due to the large supply. The wireless connection at my school has its good days and its bad days. Some days it is close to impossible to get wireless connection, and this is frustrating when classes give you assignments online.

I received a nice scholarship for maintaining a certain GPA. However, I heard receiving anymore financial aid is close to impossible. I heard the financial aid office acts as if they can offer no further financial aid.

There is a cafeteria, and a cafe on campus. The hours for the cafeteria are restricted, and the cafe closes fairly earlier on specific days. The "healthy" options are minimal, and the staff finds a way to make most food unhealthy. By covering it in salt, butter, or cheese (you can literally taste the "unhealthiness"). The produce selection is poor, and gets worse as the week progresses. The cafeteria charges way too much for the selection of food they produce. And at least half the staff that work at either the cafeteria or cafe have an attitude problem/mean. Also half the time students have to ask stuff to put the daily items out because they with forgot or were too lazy (things such as; peanut butter, bread or bagels, butter, hot sauce, milk, etc).

There aren't that many things to do here because it is a very small town. If one doesn't like ice skating or shopping, then there wouldn't be anything to do. The small town have a lot of family owned businesses and there are plenty of places to go food shopping and places to go out to eat.

The computers at Neumann are pretty fast when you want to log onto the computers. The only problem that arises with the library computers and the computer lab computers is that if you go to these places in between classes, the chances of logging onto a computer is slim. This is because the computer labs are small as well as the amount of computers in the library.

It is okay to live on-campus. The safety is a great thing to have. But it is hard to live on campus and not have an on-campus apartment because the food is not that great. The housing lottery is more stressful than convenient because it is not defiant that you will get what you want even if you are an upper class man.

The town of Aston is okay, but there is not a lot of stuff right around it to do.

There aren't a ton of scholarships that an average person can apply for. Most scholarships are for specific majors, ethnicity, or family money.
College Junior 2013-11-18T21:16:01Z
Off-campus dining is okay. If you want something that is no pizza, wawa, or applesbees though the students have to drink at least another 20 mins.

The best place to eat on campus is the Knights Cafe. But campus food is not always that good. And there isn't a lot of variety when eating there for a whole semester.

The team performances for most sports is very high in the CSAC conference. The fan support is average. If a team does make playoffs though you can normally count on a lot of fans to support.

The library can be a bit small when a lot of people are trying to study and it doesn't always have convenient hours like on the weekends. The athletic center is a very nice building, but the gym that was built is small.

The academic program I think is great with small class sizes and teachers that really get to know you. I also like in the sports department the Sports and Spirituality department. It is just a great thing if you every need help with anything they are there. And as an athlete the Champlains really bring the teams together.

I do love going to Neumann University. And I have met a lot of great people. Weekends are always tough because there is not a ton to do around campus. I don't know if I would choose this school again. If I knew that I wanted to be a physicians assistant and not an athletic trainer when I was looking at colleges I might have choose one with a PA program.

Health & Safety:
The dorms are very safe with security at the front of each building. Students have to swipe to get into buildings and hall ways. At night walking alone to the apartments down the street can make me nervous. There is never enough parking at the on-campus apartments. On a regular basis I feel very safe on campus, but there are time that I don't feel safe.
College Junior 2013-11-18T21:04:11Z
There are many different cultures all around campus. It is a great environment to meet many different people.

It is unique in the fact that as student athletic trainers we get to do 6 different clinical rotation. There are a ton of different clinical sites, so students get to go a lot of different places. These clinical rotations though can be time consuming and with this major the work load is heavy. To be an athletic training major you must know how to manage your time wisely or you'll probably fall behind.

All of the professors that I have had thus far have been wonderful. All of them have been willing to help. They want the students to do well. There are a few popular study areas such as the study rooms located in the renovated 3rd floor hall way.

I would say it is great, there are a few places to catch a meal, and they are convient towards the student community.
College Senior 2013-11-15T19:22:40Z
They are there to take students whereever they need to go, no matter what.

I absolutely love Neumann University, so are so accessable and have helped me every step of the way, They help me not matter what happens, if I am having financial aid trouble or just cannot get a paper. They are always there.

Diversity on campus is great, everyone is accepted no matter who they worship or who they are. Everyones belief is there own, and sexual orientation is not a problem you love whom you love.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
