Parking on campus can be a nightmare. Be sure to get to campus at least at 8.30 in the morning before your class to ensure you'll get a space and make it to class on time. As a freshman, you get the worst parking.

1) You don't need a car to get around. Campus can be crossed from one end to the other in 5mins.
2) Parking is hard to find, sort of.

The parking is completely free on campus. There seems to be plenty of parking campus wide, and depending on where you park, it is only a 5 minute walk to any class. Overall, parking is very convenient and non-stressful.

It's a very small school and not nearly everybody has a car, so parking is very easy. I've never once been in a position where I couldn't get a parking spot in a very convenient place. There is no permit parking, there are always spaces available, and there are very few places where parking is illegal. As for whether students need a car: students certainly don't need a car for on-campus affairs, but the city is very remote, so a car is desirable to get out into the bigger city (Albuquerque).

Parking is free, but not a lot of spaces are available.
