I have never had a problem wih the schools network. I have always been able to access the wireless Internet.

The technology experience at this campus is fair. They used to have a somewhat confusing system to use their printers, which involved swiping your student ID before you could print. But now it is all automatic. Students are charged around 5-10 cents a page, which is fairly reasonable. I didn't like that we had to put at least $25 on our printing account, I know I did NOT use 25$ worth of printing on campus; but it was nice to have that as a back up in case my system at home did not work.

Our associated students are amazing with campus activities and our library is very helpful with anything you need. Our tutoring center is also very helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition is very affordable considering prices at other colleges.

I am going into the nursing program in the fall, and the classes are just what I thought for getting you ready for the nursing program. This is actually the first semester that I have had all A's in all of my classes!

The selection of careers and job prospects are not that wide, but the school does try to help.

NMSU is absolutely wonderful, they help you with absolutely everything. If you are struggling they offer tutoring, and the instructors are very clear on instructions when it comes to our assignments.

I registered right before the semester started, so my class choice was limited due to class load being reached. My teachers seem to be very flexible, although I have not needed to exercise that option. If you register early, your choice of classes will be more flexible.

I have used the online library resources, there is even an iPhone app. It is great. Social scene and campus life will never be a focus for me since I am a non-traditional student with a husband and child. I don't personally see a lot of activities at the school but I only go to a few evening classes and the rest are online. Younger students who primarily take online courses might benefit from a better outreach to make them a part of the physical campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Value is great. I don't think you will find any better. The teachers are wonderful and the tuition is cheap. The financial aid process goes pretty smoothly if you already know what to do. If you don't you rely on the staff to guide you. I felt at times I was a bother to them with my numerous questions, but once I found the right person (in student services, no less) who knew what to do and what order to do them in, my education was funded very quickly.

I must give this an average since I do not use the computer network. I use my phone as a hotspot. The teacher, however, does use it during class presentations and it seems to be average speed most of the time. There are days where it lags and I assume there are more people connected to the network, slowing the resources.

I am currently a duel-credit student at nmsu-c, so I'm not fully experiencing the college lifestyle, but whenever i need help finding a class or anything, there is always someone there, willing to help me. Everyone there is so kind and helpful!

Since this is a two-year branch of our four-year university, there are less options than the larger campus. The bookstore would be great if the employee behind the counter cared about customer service. So far my instructors have been caring and encouraging. The campus is small, so very easy to navigate. The financial and business office are sometimes cold and come across as very stressed. I don't need warm fuzzy's but a smile would be nice. They get the job done but make you feel like a bother, especially when you are new and don't know what to do.

I didn't really want to take any online course because I thought it would be harder than just showing up to class. I learned that I was wrong, with online courses you can move at your own pace and you can also discuss any questions with other classmates. You sure can learn a lot from other students. Another skill I learned was managing my time and keeping up with my assignments and other commitments efficiently.

Better Then Some – Our city has many different ethics scattered about, its now wonder the schools are the same. Being in a small town, most people know one another, so there is a friendly environment.

My Experiences at NMSUC – I have loved being at NMSUC, all the teachers are very helpful, friendly, and truly care about student success. It has been an honor to be student body president, I have learned so much about public speaking, coordinating events, and dealing with people in a business environment. My school is unique because of the size teachers can be available for students at any time.

NMSU-C Grading – I gave this grade because the teachers and advisors are very helpful. However the campus is small and there are not many activities to participate in.

Very Happy With Choice in School – I am very happy with the choice I made to go to school. This school is close to my home and works around my childrens school schedule for my classes. That was very important to me. Would not change this decision for nothing.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Happy Student That Will Succeed – I am very happy with the education that I am recieving. The tuition is resonable and I feel that the education is well worth the cost. I just wish I would have gone back to school sooner.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I had no problems with financial aid I was able to get anything I need straightened out and my questions were always answered. They are very helpful in making sure you get what you need and giving you the right information.

A Few Unique Things – Something different about my school is they do student activities once in a while like have a halloween festival and events like a game show so students can win prizes and money. Also the university teachers can give out some interesting assignments.

Computer Network – The computer network here is great. They have computer labs in and out of the library. The internet is always pretty reliable in staying up and is fast. You also have great wireless access to computer, tablet, etc... It's still just as fast.
College Junior 2012-04-19T23:29:47Z
Never Again – I did not like the online courses I had decided to take. There was a lot of work to do for them.
My math class wasn't too bad, got a lot of help and plenty of lectures. Only bad thing is not being able to show the professor your work so they can show you where you went wrong in the problem. The computer can also be picky on answers and will take off all points for the whole answer where the professor might of only taken off a few.
I had also taken a spanish class and to me it was awful. It was on a new program too. I had very little help from the program or professor and had to go to some of my spanish speaking friends to figure the assignment out. He did not put up any of his own lectures or put up questions other students had. On the midterm his instructions were vague on how he wanted it done. Towards the end of the semester he then limited the number of times we had to work on the assignment and what showed us what we got right or wrong. This was a very hard class to get through.
I, myself, had a very bad experience with online classes and will just go back to the traditional classroom.

Aren't Too Bad – The library is great and the librarians very friendly. They can help you with anything and give you tutorials on using the website and resources online along with providing off campus logins. Not many campus activities. The gym is on the small side and student center is somewhat nice.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
