online is a bit easier. You can work at your own pase but you also have to follow the deadlines.. I think it is great if you know what you are doing and if you know how to do your online classes..

I really can not say how it is different from other schools this is the only college I have ben to. I like coming to school. It's my alone time to think about what I have to get done and what I can concentrate on. As I said before the math teacher for 120 is great i couldn't ask for a better teacher. He is very good at explaining problems..

NMSU- Grants is a great school. Everyone helps you when you need help even the other students not just the staff. The success center here is very good the staff help you get to the point of what you are looking for. If they can not provide the answer right there they will find it for you. The math teacher for 120 is excellent!!! I enjoy coming to class.

The student body at my school get lots of help when they need it. The staff are willing to help in many ways. Its a smaller campus than others so they get a lot of one on one with the professors. There are very little clubs.
College Sophomore 2013-04-02T22:06:14Z
I do not know anybody who is on the student body, no events are made available to the students rarely receive any emails about what events are on campus

It seems like they are about the same, except one is on-line. They provide pretty much the same information and expect the amount of work, exams, and interaction.

I have been very fortunate. The classes I needed to take were available when my children were in school. I am able to be a full time student and be home when my children get home. That was a big + for me.

My experience at this branch of New Mexico State University has been wonderful. It's close enough for me to live with my parents and it's a nice, small college, which is convenient in a lot of ways. The classes are wonderful and because of the smaller sizes, there is a lot of great, constructive feedback between the students and the professors. The staff is also very friendly and eager to help in any ways that they can. I even go to some with questions about investing, grocery discounts, and pet illnesses. They are definitely waiting and willing to help and fill you with knowledge that will help you academically, and at home. And I work during the days and am still able to take the classes I wanted in the evenings and online.

A large majority of the students are older people with children. There are a lot of moms trying to get nursing degrees so they can make a better living for their families. The students get very involved with the clubs and campus activities. ASG and the Native American club are two organizations at our school that are really passionate about what they do and they definitely make our campus a nicer, more enjoyable place. Most of the students try their best in classes and campus activities. The majority of students are Hispanic and native american, and Caucasians are actually the minority in this town. There is a vast variety of age groups, race, and religions, but we all seem to practice acceptance exceptionally well. Everyone is really kind to one another and the whole school environment is just really friendly and warm.

At New Mexico State University- Grants it is diverse in every possible way. There are different ethnic backgrounds at the college. I believe that it is odd to hear about four different languages as you walk down the hall. The amazing thing is that the college faculty and student's accept the fact that there are differences in people.

I enjoyed online courses because the courses are self managed. I like that the instructor gave the option to go ahead if we read ahead. It also put most of the responsibility on the student to get work in on time. The online courses get you ready for the real world because most of the time the responsibility is entirely left up to the employee.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition for my school is reasonable and the advisors are wonderful about helping to get everything prepared. The only problem I have is that financial aid doesn't adjust when it is necessary to take distant courses from our main campus, which is a huge difference in tuition.

I am always nervous about class but it is nice to be able to email your teacher at ten at night.

I had one online class and I disliked it. Online classes for me are difficult because I rather talk with the teacher in person and get instant feedback. The bright side with online courses, is that, I can go at my own pace. But I rather have a certain day to turn in work and not have to cram everything together.

in the last few years our campus has redone its library, student center, and health center....we've gone from mediocre to pretty nice
College Senior 2012-11-28T17:22:39Z
all online classes I've taken are so flexible, you can do them at night, on the weekends, whenever and I've never had any trouble with getting the work done on time.

You will have a wide variety of teachers to choose from, some are awesome and some are kind of hard

The internet in the area is slow, not just at the campus
College Junior 2012-11-15T18:42:50Z
The campus is mostly people in their 30's +. They have familes and work full time jobs.

We Are NOT Your Big Campus Campus – While we are not a big campus we do have something that they don't. Every spring we have nature hikes and nature trail support. This year we opened up a gym for use by the students and our local movie theater accepts your student id for a discount.

You Never Know What You'll Learn Next. I'm a computer tech major and I never realized what just what is involved with that. I've learned not only many things about computers, operations, forensics, hardware, but also photo manipulations, making my own radio drama, and even writing a screenplay that was actually used for an acting class that I directed....crazy.
College Senior 2012-06-06T16:20:44Z
Open Welcome and Helpfull – 95% of the faculty were not only open and friendly but seemed to be invested in whether you actually made it or not. Many times I've had an instructor or staff faculty come up to me, actually acknowledge me by name, and have an active conversation about something that is about me.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
