I am an actor. We use large rooms, and theatres some days. Those are normal training environments that suit our needs. NYFA does need a larger library, there is not really a good computer lab in our building it is more like a break room. I still like to research subjects, and could learn more with suggested topics and projects.

It is great. Since we are not a traditional University campus, it takes a while to feel like you are making a change and growing as a student. That is not easy, there could possibly be a required course that would help launch you and help you better understand what to expect and how to behave around people outside school that want to know, what your plans are.

I have been able to easily send in my transcripts to complete ma degree. Classes have been scheduled in a great way, sometimes we have a half day off. I don't like Saturday classes, because if you work, Saturday is a important day to have off.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
It takes work. You have to have your recourses already, and know how to submit your applications for TA each semester or year. I admit, college is very expensive. But when they run their business right, it works pretty good.

I'll give them an A. NYFA doesn't have online classes for every curriculum. I am on a very hands on program. And almost all the learning happens at the school. NYFA has a very good email system for the students though. Plus different websites, some are for actors, and a newsletter.

There are always computers around. I believe they need to be in a better room than where they are now, which is more like a break room than a computer lab. Our production building has many great computers though with great software. Sometimes the internet acts up, I found this surprising for a college.

The school has many teachers from other schools, many from NYU, and some that are strictly acting teachers that have a background in theatre and TV, to local actors from the LA area that attended UCLA and USC. It is like being in a community of many people that are there to further their education by being part of NYFA, and it all adds to an environment where many students from around the world get a good education in the field they choose.

It is great because for a community college, the computer is enough for most student

Now I am currently in Green River Community College. Our school has writing center and Math center to help students with certain subject, I think it is really useful

I will be transfer to NYFA this coming fall, so I do not know specifically about the quality of the career center, but I think it is pretty good because It located inside of Universal Studio.

Great College – Experience relates directly to the field, so as you go through college you already are gaining valuable experience

Great Place to Goto School – It is a great place to goto school. It is not a public university where there are lots of people out of highschool, that don't erally want to be there. I like the fine arts where you are doing something you enjoy.

The facilities on campus are amazing. You're at Universal Studios surrounded by experience. There actually cannot physically be a better place to learn acting and film making.

I couldn't ask for better. Because it's not a college campus I feel it could possably be better which is why it's not and A+. But I love it.

They are all great, helpful and committed to let you know everything you'll need to apply and to continue with your studies at NYFA.

Because the school's motto is "hands-on" they don't have any online courses, and I really think It's better to be there to get the information and to be able to do the activities.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am currently gathering all my documents to apply for financial AID at NYFA. They have the Need Based Tuition Grant, which I am applying to, the documents that they ask for are easy to obtain but they take a while, especially in México, they also have their application form, is very important to send all the documents together, if not your application will be rejected.

Great Advisors – So far my Admissions counselor has been excellent, she is always there for me, she answers all of my questions and if she is not able to do so, she gets me in touch with people who can and who are also great and nice people. I had a family problem recently and she was very comforting and helpful. The first time I applied but had to withdraw I had a different Admissions counselor and he was also very understanding, especially when I told him I couldn't continue that year with my application and all.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
