Public transportation is really good in NYC especially in downtown NYC

The main building is only a few years old and is stunning. There is a terrace on the fifth floor to study and eat on with sweeping views of Tribeca. The classrooms are comfortable and well equipped with modern IT systems

There really is no Greek life. This is law school not an undergraduate state school. If you are concerned about Greek life you probably shouldn't be going to law school.

I live in my own apartment in south Brooklyn with roommates. My rent is about $700 LESS than what they charge for campus housing and my apartment is really nice. I think it is much better to look for your own place than try NYC school housing irrespective of what institution you attend.

The part-time program is great for people who work during the day.

I am certain that my school has a great academic program.

It is New York City, housing is of campus really depends on the borough and the needs.

NYLS has a great legal program. It teaches both the reasoning and actual lawyering skills. It is an excellent school.

The academic department is very strict with plagiarism. In my opinion, is a good thing they are very rigid on this. Nobody has the right to stole other's ideas. Also, this helps people to go deeply into a topic and get their own conclusions.

NYLS is really close from the World Trade Center, so it's easy to get there by taking the PATH or the subway. Also, there is buses running all the time and because it's located in New York City, taxis are all over the place. Also, walk around the School is very interesting, because Tribeca is a fascinating area.

Guys & Girls:
Most Guys/Girls Are Married – I am in the evening program so most people are at least in their late 20s with many being older than that. Most graduated from college years ago and have had jobs during this time period. At this point in their lives, many people are in stable, long term relationships and some have had children already. Not really the place to look for a boyfriend. Maybe if I were a day student since they tend to be in their early 20s and just graduated from college.

Good Externships Opportunities – There are many opportunities available for externships in various aspects of law. Also, you can become associated with different centers and acquire hands on experience representing clients in actual cases.

In the Middle of It All – The school is located in Tribeca near all of the courts. There are all kinds of restaurants in the area. It would be easy to eat something different every day for a month. The school's cafeteria is pretty good. There are things that they make on a regular basis and they'll have a special item just for that day. The salad bar has a pretty good variety. Though sometimes there isn't much left when you go between classes in the evening.

Not Accomodating for Evening Students – I wish more activities were geared towards working evening students. Most of the interesting lectures, presentations, etc. are done between 12 and 2pm. But most evening students have full-time jobs which makes it next to impossible to attend any of these events. You can generally get a recording of the activity but if you have any questions there is no way to ask them. Wish they were more interested in find ways for evening students to be involved because we have a lot to contribute.

Although I heard the rooms are nice and modern and safe, the apartments are expensive (given the area).

Health & Safety:
Really Safe – Pretty secure facilities. Often times students leave their items unattended and nothing gets taken. There have been a few incidents but nothing major/alarming. Moreover, the sanitary conditions are good.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
