Great Computer Labs – The computer labs are great. They usually only get crowded during the final weeks of the semester. Wireless access is all around campus and it's very quick. Printing is great and there are some places you could find where you could print for free.

We have a very diverse body of students but they also tend to stay within their own race groups as well.

Not good, NYU never looks out for what is best for the students.

No Car Need – There's no need whatsoever to have a car on campus. NYC subways and buses will get you anywhere you need at a price much cheaper than gas and insurance

Health & Safety:
Pretty Safe – All of the NYU buildings have security guards and automated turnstiles that only allow access to those with NYU ID cards at each entrance.

Always Parties – there are always parties every weekend, even on certain weekdays...you just have to find the right people who are well-connected with the nightlife scene or who like to form groups and go out. my advice is to join a greek organization or make friends with Pikes

Very Bad School Spirit – there are 2 facilities for sports, but there is very little school spirit or fan support

Pretty Easy – it's pretty easy to get a hold of drugs, especially weed

Guys & Girls:
More Girls Than Guys – there are definitely more girls than guys here, but a lot of the girls aren't that attractive. but the fact that there are also many gay guys makes it easier to get girls here

From campus tours to review sites like this, I knew from the get-go that I would not join a Fraternity at NYU. However, on move-in day, I was approached by a few students advertising Greek life. Being my stubborn self, I stood "listening" to what they had to say but did not believe any of it.....UNTIL I went to a rush event and decided to go for a bid.....BEST DECISION ever made at NYU. Fraternities in the city are key social networks. A Ton of brothers, not even upperclassmen, have jobs at prestigious hedge funds and investment firms, on top of Fortune 500 companies (Google and Pepsi to name a couple). Socially, the perks are unbelievable, lofts, rooftop bars, clubs, you name it! Greek Life also provides a myriad of community service opportunities and most importantly, you're able to meet some of your best friends and I know for certain that these quality men will have my back for life.
So if you like the idea of: illustrious careers, amazing social life, comm service for those grad school apps, and awesome friends.....NYU Greek Life is exactly what you're looking for.

Snow and Rain Suck in the City – Snow and rain in the city suck...its impossible to get a cab when the weather is bad...make sure to bring an unbrella and wear boots or you will be stuck in wet shoes

NYU buses run to and from every dorm outside a 10 min walk from campus. If you miss the bus, there's always the subway or mta bus. If you're late, take a cab-- it won't cost much more than 5$

Lots of Drugs Are Available Is You Want Them – Many people do drugs, many people don't...you can pick who your friends are so pick accordingly

It NYC...Take the Subway – parking is really expensive...take the subway or come on Sunday to try your luck at free parking on the road. I wouldn't trust parking my beamer outside of a garage though

What Campus? There is no campus, but there is the police. Drinking in public is a 50$ offense and urinating in public is a 25$ offense. Not much to say but don't get caught.

Many Job Opportunities – NYU has a really good career net and there are so many start-ups and firms that hire during the year as well as the summer. Unless you are a terrible student, it is relatively easy to find an internship or job.

Guys & Girls:
People Are Really Weird – I have found that many people are really weird and cute girls are hard to find...where do they hide?

NYC Apartments Are Expensive – If you want to live in a decent location (ie. not in the bronx or brooklyn or way uptown) then be ready to fork over at least a grand a month for rent. Its cheaper to get an apartment with friends to lower the cost.

Good Variety and Placed Near Most Dorms – good food, lots of choices and placed near or in dorms around the city. the main campus around washington square has a few different dining halls for variety as well.

Its New York...Lots of Things Happening but You Need $$$ – Nightlife is expensive and you need to get a fake ID to go out-- its NYC though, one of the best places for nightlife in the world

you can find people of every race, religion, sexual orientation...I almost think there are not many normal people at NYU

Very Strict About Partying – Make sure you make friends with housing management if you like to party. They will help you out when you get written up.
