Almost Invisible but Still Great to Be a Part of
Greek life has no affect of the social atmosphere at NYU. The Greeks rarely try to involve the whole NYU community, only people who are Greek and people who know Greeks. Non-Greeks aren't bothered by Greeks and don't look at them any differently, although some people do believe themselves to be above "paying for friends." There are fraternity and sorority dorms and many people who are Greek room together even if it's not in the official NYU Greek housing. Everyone I know in a Fraternity or Sorority thoroughly enjoys it.
