I don't drive, so this doesn't really apply to me.

There is always a house party to go to or a bar. You can always find Niagara Students different places different night: Monday wing night at the pub in lewiston, Thirsty Thursdays at tap Friday usually a house party or cafe and Saturdays is club pub or alot of people will head into buffalo because were so close. For those underage Canada is a 5 min cab ride and a short walk across the bridge away definitely a great time.

WNY is some of the most unpredictable weather one day you'll be bundled up and the next wearing sandals.

Housing on NU's campus is pretty basic the dorms are fun the floors are separated by boys and girls (it is a catholic university). After a year in the dorms I recommend trying to get into varsity village or the apartments. The village is a cross between the dorms and apartments you get to know everyone in you house and its a very welcoming atmosphere. The apartments allow you to have more independence with your own kitchen living room and bedroom you feel more like an adult as you should.

Health & Safety:
The people work in the health center are always very nice, they sincerely listen to you and don't blow you off. They usually have all prescriptions on hand as well as all vaccinations they will also follow up your visit with a call to make sure your doing well

I havent had a chance to have much off campus dining. I mean they have restaurants but the only thing that I have tried is chinese mall food and it wasn't that great.
College Sophomore 2013-09-07T02:39:57Z
The school is diverse in the sense that there are alot of people that go here with different opinions and perspectives however it is 90% white.

The sporting events are very interesting, but there is no football team.

The dining hall offers the basic college food. Pizza, mac & cheese, a sandwich station, and lots of comfort food. There is also a salad bar and healthy food options but its all gets old very fast.
There is also the gally center where you can find more pizza and more sandwiches but the Tim hortons makes up for it.

There is a metro stop on campus. There is also the "NU express" which goes to the Walmart, Tops, Outlet Mall, and Target on Wednesdays and Fridays.

There are a few of off-campus apartments but you have to live on campus for two years.

Facilities at NU are great! They are renovated, clean, and have great hours for the students. The gym is free to all students and includes free weights, machines, and class such as Zumba and Pilates. The student center is where all the students hang out before, between, and after classes. You can play pool, ping pong or grab a coffee and watch one of the many flat screen TVs.

Financial Aid gives out great financial aid packages. There are NU grants every student receives, scholarships that you can apply for, and loans that are available. Niagara is an expensive school to attend but NU makes it affordable for each family.

Guys & Girls:
Niagara is very diverse with their students on campus. The girls to guy ratio is high (more girls go to NU). Many students are from the Western NY area, but there are a hand full of students from out of state or even out of the country.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:13:45Z
Computers at Niagara are great. The Information Technology department does a great job keeping the software up to date and fast. Computer labs and the Library get very crowded come Midterm week and Finals week, but many students have their own computers to work from.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:11:45Z
The dorms on campus are great because of the community feel you have when you live there. There are doubles, triples, and singles on campus and one quad. The rooms have plenty of space and the furniture has recently been updated. Storage is great and Residence Life does a great job pairing you with a roommate when you come in as a freshman.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:08:37Z
There are only 2 sororities and 2 fraternities on campus. I do not know much about Greek life on campus because I am not a part of it. It is not a big deal if you are not a part of Greek life.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:06:22Z
It gets very cold in the winter and very snowy/windy. But come spring time it gets warm and all the students love to lay outside and play in the common grass areas. Because the campus is not large, even if the weather is bad, you only have to walk a short distance in the weather.

Niagara Hockey is D1 and can be nationally ranked on a good year. Good fun.
College Sophomore 2013-08-07T19:59:17Z
Canada is the Place to go for all of the fun and bars. However it can be a pain to get to and to get back.
College Sophomore 2013-08-07T19:58:15Z
The city is all surrounded by Niagara Falls. It is very cool atmosphere. Canada is literally within eye site. It is a very clean and beautiful campus. High Quality.

There really are not a lot of opportunities for drug use at this school
