The classes contain people from all age groups and walks of life. It has a lot of diversity as far as students which is good.

The online courses are very good, sometimes the Teachers can be a bit harsh with dropping students as quick as possible but other than that, no complaints.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Norco campus, It is the perfect size and every building is easily accessible from any parking area. All in all its my favorite out of the RCC district.

Teachers are understanding that we have a life outside of school.

The school is very diverse, which is awesome.

Classes are hard to get and more courses should be offered.

The professors seem to be knowledgeable in their field but do not know how to teach students. Its difficult to understand them at times. The most problematic experience I have had at this college is getting classes. The class registration is done online and this gives me a disadvantage

I have had a great experience as an incoming freshman. The class I took during summer was very instrumental to what I will be taking in the fall. My professor was very knowledgeable and easy to approach. It is a great campus and easy to get around.

The social scene is not too great because often at times I notice that many of the students come and go without using any of the campus resources Norco College has to offer. There are many opportunities at this school but majority of the students do not take advantage. I am currently in the Student Support Services Program and it has been a helpful resource. I encourage other students to be more involved and seek out resources on campus to help better their education.

Although the professors might not be the most helpful I found that the Student Support Services Program are dedicated in helping their students succeed. They are very fond about their positions to guide each students in accomplishing their goals. To be in this program has been very beneficial to me and has provided me with the knowledge of many resources on campus that I did not know about. Indeed this program has made my academic experience something to look forward to.

I began taking classes in the Spring of 2013 at Norco College. I have chosen to major in kinesiology, but I have not taken any lower-division courses toward my degree. The classes that I have taken are able to be applied to my general education. Student Support Services has been a great help to me as well. They have guided me in the right direction to continue with my education to transfer to another school. So far I have been following the IGETC and the work has been what I expected but not overwhelming.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Norco College tuition is a lot less expensive when compared to a University, so it served to be very helpful when I had to pay out of my pocket for tuition this past Spring semester. Unfortunately my financial aid was not able to cover the costs at the time, but later refunded my money back. Sometimes it can be a long ongoing process with financial aid but they do reimburse the money and also provide a friendly disbursement.

Norco College is a great school; I have been able to take several courses to satisfy units for transferring, but I do not have a reliable form of transportation. Getting to school can be a hassle and it causes unwanted stress and energy that could otherwise be helpful when studying with others and to better my experience in class.

the academics from Temescal canon high school i believe are as good as any private school could offer you, they really have great teacher's and courses that will challenge you academically, the work load is fair, my favorite program the school offered was the dance and football program

So far i have not met many Psych majors at Norco. Norco college provides maybe 4-5 different psychology courses per semester but classes themselves are rarely big and rarely have psychology majors in them. I've only taken General Psych and Developmental Psych, and both provided a huge workload for them. Exams, weekly quizzes, homework and essays for both classes. I've asked my professors if they had internship opportunities and they replied with a No.. I'm sure however other psych courses might have at least one internship opportunity. I really wish there was a Psych major club or association. Our Psychology faculty adviser is very kind however and is very fun to talk to!

The student centers are very helpful! I love going to that place and not wait in line for a question. The people there are very helpful and caring and provide help in any area asked for. I have not been to the athletic center so i can't address that. The library is a great place to study, limited computers however.. There is a great study area in the back that i love so much! You should check it out :) People in the back are more quieter then in the front of the Library. Norco college has plenty campus activities. We just had spring social this last April (An even that brings all clubs together and offer their own specialty in games)

Online courses can be tough for people who don't have a lot of motivation in keeping up with the class. When i first took my online class i was bit nervous because I'm used to sitting near the professor and asking my professor questions. However, my first online course was really easy to follow with. The professor provided her number even! it was very easy to contact the professor. When the professor didn't respond to an email or text message, we wrote on a discussion board (meant for students). This discussion board allowed us to work together in assignments and allowed us to also come up with study groups. The workload was a bit different, it required submitting homework, quizzes, exams, essays all online through the special system we use (Black Board). The lectures were provided all online, accessible 24/7. Getting online classes are easier to get mainly because people don't go for online classes even outside of Norco College. People tend to prefer classes on the campus, however online classes are just as good. You register into a online class same as you would with any other class.

So far the professors i have taken were average professors. i really wish most of the professors i have taken were involved with their students other then lectures and such..Most professors are more involved with students during office hours, so i get my help through there. The professors i took gave decent workload, homework, expected essays (not just in English courses), etc. classes are easy to obtain once you have a lot of units.. but if you don't the registration process can very tough the first 2 semesters... Norco Community College is very big and popular in the graphic design/computer area. They have great courses as well

Computer labs are great. It is place where you actually do your assignments instead of wasting time. Instructors on duty are willing to help you anytime. Printing on campus facilities are excellent. You pay 10 cents to print one page, which I don't think is a lot, and its simple. Network reliability and speed are great services that Norco College offers. I'm very thankful to the college for providing us with free wireless access. If I need a computer to work on, I go to the library anytime and the computer is available for one user for two hours, which is sufficient amount of time to work on something important like an assignment.

Norco College has Supplement Instructor Sessions, which are very helpful. In these sessions you can get extra help regarding your class for free and they are not every long either. These sessions have helped me a lot with some of my hardest classes. If I don't understand anything in class, I attend the session.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I get financial aid help that I'm currently eligible for as a non-resident. I'm thankful to the financial aid at Norco College. I'm got familiar to this website through the Financial aid staff at Norco College. I'm not eligible for financial aid if I take summer classes. So they introduced me to this website.

It was a community college, nuff said. However, the transfer community was extremely helpful, and counselors were always available. Just never expect them to actually call you back.

Most of my classes were fairly easy to get into, and my courseload was mostly reasonable. However, like any school, there are amazing teachers that become friends, and some that you would rather see fired. My teachers were open to talk about issues pertaining to the class, and answered all of the students questions. They had excellent classroom management skills, and I'll miss it when I'm gone.
College Junior 2013-04-23T21:01:18Z
This school is SO crowded. It is especially hard to find a class that is available if you do not have priority registration. Become part of the athletics or student body to qualify for priority registration and it may be worth much more of your time.
College Junior 2013-04-23T20:59:24Z
I have generally enjoyed my time here at Norco because it was a good medium to come to after a long distance college I attended and the transfer to a university the next fall. It didn't lack the college edge I needed to be motivated to continue my education.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
