As a widely known historically black university, the majority of students at North Carolina A&T are African American, but diversity encompasses more areas than solely race. There are opportunities to meet all kinds of people at North Carolina A&T, and while African Americans constitute the largest racial group on campus, you will also see Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, and African students, among students of other ethnic backgrounds. The number of international students that attend North Carolina A&T grows each year. The University has a Multicultural Student Center that encourages cultural unity and is open to students of all cultural backgrounds. International food events, parades, and organizations make students from all backgrounds feel extremely comfortable.
