Greensboro is one of the largest college towns in the state of North Carolina. North Carolina A&T shares the city with six other colleges and universities, each varying in size. These institutions include Bennett College for Women, Elon University School of Law, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Guilford College, and Guilford Technical Community College. There are museums, bowling alleys, skating rinks, local shops around town, city-wide events all year long, and even a Celebration Station. Transportation around Greensboro poses little to no problem for college students. Free transportation is available for NC A&T students through the use of their Aggie One card to popular places, such as the Four Seasons Mall and movie theater, Walmart, the downtown area, and even to other universities. Throughout Greensboro, there are three major shopping areas: Four Seasons Mall, the Shops at Friendly Center, the Battleground Avenue shopping area, and the local shops on Elm Street. Most of these shopping centers are home to movie theaters, restaurants, and large department stores.
