A&T is "that" school. Everyone who comes to A&T learns much about themselves, their capabilities, and how to be leaders by the time they leave. There are plenty of parties but just like any school you have to learn how to balance your social and academic lives. Classes are enjoyable, but you have to come to know many people in your department well, as they are very helpful. So far, few students have said they regretted the choice to attend this establishment, which says a lot about public opinion. Upperclassmen may sometimes say it was better in previous years, but the freshman and senior years are the honeymoon periods for everyone, just coasting off of the experience.
A&T is recommended to anyone who can find their major amongst the lists of curriculums and who is looking to enjoy their college experience. An upstanding number of Aggies dreamed of attending here since they were young. Once you visit, it's hard not to see why. Some people have regrets that they were not more involved in the school before they left, so do your best to be active. Go to homecoming, AggieFest, join friends, have fun, pass your classes! Ask any alumni if they would do it all again and see if you do not get a resounding yes.
Security on campus is very good. I feel relatively safe compared to other universities in the area. Campus security seem to be aware of who is on campus and those from the city that should not be on campus.
Drug on campus does happen but is not as bad as other campues in the area.
It rains a lot here, so you are always wet by the time you get to class. It rarely snow here so classes are rarely cancelled. Walking in the rain is my pet pea, because I hate being wet.
The job placement center work with students to obtain jobs in there field and jobs for summer if attending summer school.
