The free 2-hour parking along Hillsborough is nice

The college provides free bus service to almost any location on campus, as well as a free pass for the city bus system. You can walk almost anywhere on campus, but the bus system helps a lot for those classes on the other side of campus.

Health & Safety:
While there are reports of crime warnings almost once a month, there are security stations dotted all over campus with a direct link to the NC State security office. If you feel unsafe walking alone at night, an officer can be sent to escort you to your intended location. Overall I feel safe on campus, but don't take unnecessary risks.

There are many housing options available to you as a student at NC State. Most have decently sized rooms, with well enough furnishings to make you feel like its a second home. Many Residential Advisers host events that make you want to get involved with the students that live around you. The housing process is a painless point and click operation.

I was eligible for several student loans, but not for much in the way of other financial aid. I was hoping for more opportunities that would not require me to repay the aid I received.

There are plenty of area attractions near NCSU. There are tons of shopping centers, the local attitude is good for the students. There is also plenty of local activities.

The drug scene is for the most part not very noticeable. There are some abusers;however, I do not associate with them, so I do not see it much. With me not being around it, I do not feel the peer pressure that comes along with it.

The diversity of NCSU is more than average, but many people here seem to accept the diversity and also accept it as another learning possibility. It can be a learning possibility by learning about the ethnics background as well as culture.

The security force on campus does a good job keeping people informed but you need to be careful at night.

I am currently taking my courses online so that I can continue working for the government.

The dorms for underclassmen are pretty small, but they regularly renovate. The dorms for upperclassmen are pretty nice and on Central Campus

There are so many computer labs around NC State's campus. They have computer labs on the first floor of every dorm and multiple labs in the library. There are also computer labs scattered in buildings all around campus. They have a good mix of Macs and PCs

Greek life is prominent on NC State's campus but if you aren't in a sorority or fraternity you will not be treated any differently. They throw a lot of the parties on campus, but you don't have to be part of the sorority or fraternity to go.

Parking is readily available and the options get better and better the long you are a student at the university.

The dorms on campus are decent. The bigger dorms are further way from the center of campus and the dorms in central campus are rather small or you need to meet certain specifications to live there. There are lots of off campus options.

The workload is not to bad, but the opportunities to get good internships in our field from Raleigh is quite difficult. Overall, I enjoyed the program. It is unique because we always have programs and forums available to attend outside of class.

I do not stay on campus so my meals there are limited. However when I occasionally eat I usually eat at Chick-fa-la, Taco Bell and sometimes Chinese. When I do eat at a dining hall the food is normally good and they have a great variety.

Its mostly sunny but we have had a lot of rain this winter which makes it messy to get to classes.

The drug scene mostly exists in the Greek community. You will almost always witness drug use at fraternity parties. Non Greek students tend to stick to drinking.

Campus housing is adequate but nothing exceptional. The newest dorms are the greatest distance from the center of campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
