Labs Are Everywhere – I've never had a problem with findind somewhere to print because there are several labs on campus.

Pretty Nice – The weather here is pretty good! North Carolina is very crazy anyways so it is something that you have to get used to

Not Many Choices – Nightlife is not really for anybody under 21, as most clubs are 21+. The 18+ clubs aren't bad, but they are usually really crowded and not worth the money.

Hard to Get Enough Money in Aid – I didn't receive enough money to cover my Jr. year at State. I have about 3/4 of my tuition covered and I don't know how I will make up the rest of the money.

Impossible Craziness – Impossible with no permit, crowded, far from classes

Great Campus – The Carmichael Gym Complex holds multiple weight rooms, indoor pools, studios with many classes for zumba, cardio, and pilates. There are courts for racquetball, basketball, tennis, and much more. Also there are volleyball courts all over campus where students gather during the spring semester. There is always something going on in the Brickyard with lots of free food and activities. There are many fast food joints and also a place that serves Chinese food. There is even places for frozen yogurt and a creamery with home-made ice cream! The library has great hangout places for students with great technology. Many people play video games there or just sit back and relax with an ice cream sundae. One of NCSU's greatest attractions is the "Free Expression Tunnel" where artists can showcase their talents using a can of spray paint, or where clubs and organizations can post the dates of their next meeting or party. On NCSU's campus, you will always find something to do.

Going to the Office in-Person Is Not Helpful – I visited the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid in-person about three times, but when I asked for someone to speak with about potential scholarships, I was told to look on their website for any information. However, after filling out my FASFA, I was awarded with sufficient financial aid in the form of loans.

Strictly Enforces Permits – The availability of parking is average, but if you do not have a permit then expect to get a ticket. I have heard that leaving your car unattended for 5 minutes without a permit will result in a ticket.

The weather rarely is ever unexpected. It is sunny all of spring semester, and during the fall semester, the weather is bearable in a long sleeves shirt and a light jacket. You will always see people hanging out outside, and once spring hits, lots of people come out to play volleyball outside Tucker and Sullivan Halls.

The Capital's Charm – Raleigh is a charming place to live in and people are very friendly. Its small town atmosphere provides a level of comfort to students, and the excellent transportation system makes it easy to travel all over the city and even to the Chapel Hill area. The nightlife is great, but I would suggest getting to clubs around 10:30pm or 11:00 unless you are ok with waiting in line for an hour.

Excellent Facilities and Teachers – The teachers know what they are talking about and the classrooms are state of the art. As an animal science major I have many choices as to how I want to go about my major and I have an advisor to help with out with each step along the way. You take from 14 to 16 hours a semester which is only about 7 classes and some only meet three days and week or even once or twice. I am done everyday by 5 if not sooner.

School Helps You Find Interships – I fully plan to do an internship in Vet School. NC State works with you to help you find an appropriate internship and has connections with many places in Raleigh to assist with this.

Guys & Girls:
Wide Range – NC State has a wide variety of students and you can find people from all over on campus. You will find southern accents though in most of them since it is part of the south.

When you get on campus they tell you that freshman are not allowed to park on campus and upper classmen have a hard time finding good spots. Most people chose to use bikes to avoid the parking issue when classes are farther apart.

Raleigh Has a Lot to Do – There is a lot to do around Raleigh, and even if you don't have a car, you can still get to fun stuff. Hillsborough Street is right near the campus, and you can walk there in a few minutes; there's a lot of restaurants there. There's also buses you can catch to reach other areas of Raleigh (such as Crabtree Mall).

Hall Style Dorms Are the Best – Some dorms aren't pretty (Lee, Sullivan), others are great (I really like the hall-style dorms, which tend to be much nicer and larger rooms - think Becton, Tucker, Syme, etc). The suite-style dorms can be annoying if your suite mates are loud. Choosing a smaller dorm building is better, because they tend to be nicer.

NCSU has great fans! We have an incredibly loud student section! Our basketball team is getting better every year and our football team is awesome! We are a work in progress!

Just Alright – The dining hall food is probably just like any other college campus. The prices are not bad and the vendors on campus are really good.

Change Is in Progress – NC State has an amazing gym that is always being updated. The student center and a new library are currently in the works and will be available soon. Campus activities will always keep you busy!

Many Choices! Raleigh has something to offerer to anyone whether they like quiet and relaxing or more fast paced and exciting. It is not far from other cities like Durham, Chapel Hill, or Greensboro which allows for fun road trips full of exploring North Carolina.

A Variety of People – NC State University has a wide variety of students. There are many different religions, ethnic groups, and political groups. If you wanted to be involved with people of similar interests, there is always a group of people willing to take you in.

There are two busing systems available to everyone. Wolfline, the system that most students use to travel to class, comes to a variety of stops around town where most students would be. There is also the public transportation system of Raleigh that goes anywhere you want. You also have the option to use your car. However, to park on campus, you would need to have a parking permit. Therefore, most students use the Wolfline.

Rain Makes Lakes – The weather on campus is pretty good. On sunny days if its hot, there are plenty of trees and thus shaded spots to walk under when you are going to class. Though, because of the plant life there is a lot of pollen during the springtime and it gave me some really bad allergy symptoms. But, the real reason I gave the weather on campus an A- is because when it rains the bricks don't soak up the water. So on all the routes to buildings there are gigantic puddles everywhere. Bring rainboots! You will need them!

Pretty Good – I just got finished with my freshmen year at NC State, and I liked all variety of food places and the menu each one had. The dining halls are always a hit and miss for me, but there is always something you can eat there. I love Chick-fil-a, yet the I thought it was a full and not an express. The food there is not bad, but it doesn't taste like a regular Chick-fil-a. Though, Zen Blossom at the Atrium improved second semester and has really good sesame chicken. For those coffee and tea lovers, there is always an open Port City Java close.
One thing for sure, students should definitely stop by the Creamery in D.H. Hill.

Greek life does not dominate the university but is very noticable.
