Very Diverse and Accepting – Every campus has that group of students who hates everyone and isn't afraid to show that, but for the most part here at State everyone is very friendly and accepting to all genders and races.

Adequate but Not Amazing – The dining halls are clean and offer many options, but the food usually leaves much to be desired. Depending on which meal plan you purchase, you can use your "meal equivalency" for each "meal period" to eat at other restauraunts on campus such as Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-a, etc. After freshman year, when you have figured out other food options, I would suggest getting a smaller meal plan.

This school is a great school for recognition post-graduation. The engineering degree, however, contains the most challenging course the really drive a stress level up. State is an excellent institution. I would just reconsider my degree if I had to do it over.

Like any other college town, alcohol is clearly visible and available, but not necessarily recommended. If caught underage drinking, students can lose scholarships and other academic advantages. However, social drinking is popular, you just have to choose the right crowd.

The football program is excellent. The fans are extremely supportive of the Wolfpack! These games are the most exciting sporting event that I've ever had the pleasure of going to.

I do not know to much about it. The students involved are easy to spot.

Flag Football – Flag football intramurals are the best. All students from every grade participate.

Frat Bros and Sorostitutes – There are a wide variety of fraternities and sororities around campus. With a lot of frats and sororities comes a lot of people in them. They are typically not a problem to me, but they can seem kind of uppity to some people.

Wolf Village – The Wolf Village apartments on campus are very nice. They are relatively new so everything in them is working and up to date. If you can, try and get a corner unit because these are the biggest ones. The living rooms are about twice as big as the normal ones.

Most places around campus are very nice. There are a few buildings that could use some work, but for the most part the buildings all are well kept.

There are tuns for fun facilities both on campus and in library for students to use. student governor and other clubs have variety of events each week and for different occasions.
College Senior 2011-12-21T19:25:21Z
There are plenty of computer labs and computer available in library for students. also library has both PC and Mac laptops for students to use. Most of the time library is 24 hours specially during dead week, when it's close to finals. students can borrow laptops for 4 hours and also they can renew it online for another 4 hour. Library is 9 floor and on each floor there are computers to use and one printer for printing.

Always Very Crowded – There are really not enough places to park on campus. Guest parking is non-existant, especially during the day.
College Senior 2011-12-18T03:26:39Z
Not to Shabby – I like that they have Villages on campus to live in so that you feel more involved and can get to know people easier.
College Senior 2011-12-18T03:19:06Z
Printers at State – I think that North Carolina State does a pretty good job at placing printers all over campus, but there are still some halls that don't have one and I think that residence halls should definitely have their own printers because that would be really convenient.

The dining halls are okay and the food is standard cafeteria food. They get the job done, but the food choices are limited and it can get old fast.
College Junior 2011-12-16T10:25:32Z
There are many dining options on campus, and if you don't wanna eat on campus, there are many eateries off campus on hillsborough st. that cooperate with NC State students
College Junior 2011-12-15T17:33:52Z
Corporate Fast Food 95% around campus – The food offered just off campus is 95% corporate junk food. It is really really sad.....

I always have difficulties when submitting FAFSA documents. They always take a long time to process.

NC State University has a moderately good bus transportation system. Many students live off campus and the bus conveniently have stops right by or close to the off -campus housings. They also run on weekends during the night.
College Senior 2011-12-14T00:44:15Z
Raleigh, NC – The main campus is in walking distance from downtown. There are convenient stores just across from campus and there are many things to do.

Hard, but Fulfilling! Biology is tuff at NC State. We are well known for our science course, so the work load is tuff. I do enjoy it, but it is not easy. I have only been here for one semester, but the professors I have had so far have been great for the most part. They give you easy assignments that can help your grades.

It is perfect weather here. Hot in the summer, warm in the fall/spring and cold in the wonter. Classes are really far from the dorms, so it can get a little cold walking during the winter time. But, once the weather turns nice, everyone hangs out outside.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
