It's Alright – NCSU has some strict rules, don't get me wrong. But for the most part, they're lax on a lot of things. They're pretty darn hash on parking violations, though. Those parking tickets add up after a while.

Greeks are Missing – The Greek life on campus is so low profile one would think it was gone. I personally only know one person who was in a sorority but she transferred schools after a year. The Greeks keep to themselves and hangout with themselves. You have to know a Greek to even get into one of their fundraising events. Greek Court and Greek Village are essentially closed areas for non-Greeks, not that anyone would notice at all.

Lots to Do – Of course most of the bars are for people 21 and older, but there is a lot to do on and off campus. Get a ride from the Wolfline Night Service buses to go downtown, which is minutes away, and find loads of things to do. Many activities among students can also be found.

Lots of Fun – Raleigh is a great city with many diverse activities held constantly. Go to the state fair for good classic fair fun, exciting rides, and delicious southern food. There are many Indian cultural events held nearby like Garba. Support for State's football team is tremendous here you'll soon be full of Wolfpack fever. All the people are very nice and helpful.

Most people only drink and/or smoke. Most drugs aren't that popular here.

Guys & Girls:
There are a lot of friendly and nice guys on campus. Many of them major in engineering, but you'll usually see them doing homework or working hard in the computer lab. There are also party animals, of course.

Health & Safety:
Not Bad – I feel safe most of the time while I was on campus. Sometimes there's robbery. Then again, if you walk around on campus by yourself at 2-5 in the morning, you increase your chance of getting robbed. If you have to be out at such early in the morning, use campus escort please.

Excellent place to be for the ambience of a learning environment. It inspires me to be a better person.

North Carolina State University campus is vast and spread out over a great area. It is a very beautiful campus with the natural landscaping and red-bricked buildings.

Beware the Vending Machines – Vending machines are typically overpriced and with the convenient card readers allow you to quickly drain your student account without realizing it.

Less Promiscuity – In 5 years at State I cannot recall seeing one girl walking campus at 7 am in her pajamas. Take your pick on if that is good or bad.

Move Away from Campus for Better Deals – I have lived off-campus my whole time at State and have known others who have done the same. If you can get parking or close to a bus stop, try to live about 3-6 miles from main campus. The prices level out and you start getting better quality for your dollar.

School Spirit Rocks! Everyone at the games gets very into cheering, and it's a lot of fun.

Best Dorms – Living in the honors quad is probably the best option. People really get to know each other, it's quieter than anywhere else on campus, so you can study when you want to without distraction, and if you want to be loud and party, you still have the option to go out. It is very convenient to live in the dorms on central campus, but those tend to be the loudest and craziest.

Good Professors! I have had good professors in almost all of my classes, the few exceptions being TAs for labs and some intro level classes taught by grad students. There is actually a really good English program here, even though the school is mainly known for its Engineering.

When It Rains Its Not the Best Thing to Get Caught in! Overall the weather is awesome, there are 4 seasons and in rains and snows! However be careful when walking around campus in the rain because the bricks to get very slippery! If there is nice weather there is always people playing sports or reading/working outside!

Sometimes it can be hard to find a parking place in the certain area of campus that you want, especially before 5pm! but the wolfline is always there to take you to and from different parts of campus.

Best School Ever! We'll I might be pretty bias but NC State is the best college I could ever imagined going to! There is so much to do and everyone is so nice, all of you professors are willing to help, there are tons of tutoring options avaliable on campus (that are all included in your tuition!). There is always something going on in the Brickyard and there is so much school spirit! It is hard not to fall in love with this school!

Greeks Are Out There – The Greek life is there for those that find it but it is not the biggest deal around. If you want to be in a frat or sorority there are opportunities, if not, oh well....let's have fun elsewhere. Just remember, if you want it it is out there....

The World Is Wide Open – Internation studies is an expanding field and I am learning more about different events and cultures of the world. I find the foreign language department challenges students to speak to each other as they listen and speak the new language. There is is alot of readings and the professors I have are interesting in the way they present the material. As part of the international relations program, there is the opportunity to study abroad next year. The instructors bring a large variety of experience to the table and I truly enjoy what I am learning.

It's Pretty Good – I love NC State. It's a very professional school and there are a lot of things to do. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. I feel that NCSU will prepare me to face the after college world.

The school is very strict on things of acedemia but they are not as strict with entertainment things. I really think that you can get away with alot at NC State as long as there is no harm intended.

The Dorms on the NC State Campus aren't Great but they aren't horrible either. Most of the dorms were close to the class part of campus but the one I was in was quite a hike! Because of that it was hard to stay involved in the campus life. I would reccomend to stay as close to campus as possible.
