Alcohol is pretty prominent on the weekends. The drug scene isn't all that big. I know my guy friend's roommate got removed from the dorm because they found weed in his room but aside from that it isn't very big. I haven't encountered any peer pressure. The strictness also depends on your RA. If you give them a reason, they are obligated to check out the room (loud music, smell, etc). Otherwise they are pretty relaxed.
