There is a variety of facilities for students to use, whether for academics or athletics. Students who are into athletics can go to Carmichael Gym and pick from a number of activities. Students can do their own workout within the weight rooms or use the cardio equipment like the elliptical machine, treadmill, and rowing machines. There are also basketball, racquetball, and volleyball courts, as well as aerobic rooms. Outside the aerobic rooms are schedules for free student workout classes. There are some for early risers that run around 7 a.m., and some for those who prefer late-night workouts. There is also an outdoor basketball court and an outdoor track right across the street from Carmichael Gym.

For those interested in academic facilities, there is the Tutorial Center and the Career Center, as well as computer labs and internship offices. There are many computer facilities available to students, some open 24 hours, and all are well-maintained. Students can get a jump start on finding a job through internship coordinators and the Career Center. There are tests available at these offices that can help direct a student into a career by determining their strengths and weaknesses in correlation with their interests.

NC State has an amazing gym that is always being updated. The student center and a new library are currently in the works and will be available soon. Campus activities will always keep you busy!

Most places around campus are very nice. There are a few buildings that could use some work, but for the most part the buildings all are well kept.

Exercise on the fields or in the gym, skateboard, rock climb, walk the scenic campus, sun bathe, throw a football or baseball, venture out and meet new people.

There are always people hanging out and playing video games in the library. Some students enjoy the gym for working out or pick-up games while many go to chill at the Talley Student Center and grab a bite to eat. Another popular spot is the Brickyard, where students can also eat or hang with friends.
