Drinking on campus is not allowed especially in freshman residence halls.

There are many programs and places on campus that are in support of and promote diversity on campus.

Our school has a really good athletic program and the student fans are very supportive.

The NDSU buss system is free for students if you show your school ID which is great and it has pick-up locations all across the Fargo area.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T07:12:47Z
There is wireless access throughout campus and the Tech support is working on increasing the wireless capacity in residence halls.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T07:10:41Z
There are a lot of options and they all vary. The T-lofts are really nice but are crazy-expensive so they aren't rally worth it. Often people choose the many other alternatives.

The policy is enforced quite well in the first-year student resident halls especially and is hardly seen on campus since it is a dry campus and the campus police do a lot of patrolling.

The Resident Assistants work really hard on planning programs and finding ways for their residents to get involved and getting to know their residents. The cost of living on campus and the availability is not nearly as costly as at other schools such as U of M Twin Cities.

The school spirit is huge on campus, especially for the football team. People wait for hours in line before the game to get the front row seats in the student sections.

Guys & Girls:
There is about a two to one ratio of guys to girls on campus.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T06:59:48Z
The dining halls do a pretty good job at feeding thousands of people a day and are always looking for way to improve their options and hot food menu.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T06:58:26Z
The people who ticket go around campus and do a lot of ticketing so it is important to not forget to display your parking permit in your car. The cost and availability of parking is pretty good for on campus students as well as for commuter students.
College Sophomore 2013-11-12T06:55:34Z
There are not too many off campus dining options close to campus but the ones in the area are generally very good and there are a lot of options no matter what you're looking for.

Greek life is very involved on NDSU's campus and they do many volunteer activities both on campus and for the surrounding community.

The spring and autumn are really great and the winter isn't too bad either. It can get quite cold though when the wind starts gusting so that is when pretty much everyone walks through as many building as possible to get from class to class.

Health & Safety:
I have always felt safe on NDSU's campus. Though Fargo is a big area, it felt like a small town. There were always cop cars around, which made me feel more comfortable whenever I had to walk home in the dark.

I have lived in Fargo my entire life, and there are still countless restaurants, bistros, and cafes that I have not set foot in. I tend to like my favorite spots and steer away from places unless someone recommends it to me. Cost depends on what you want to spend; don't go downtown and expect to get a cheap meal. Student discounts are out there, but you usually have to search for them, and they aren't usually posted at the restaurant itself. I personally really like Moe's, a Mexican joint that offers free chips and salsa after you make your own burrito/taco/etc - similar to Subway's feel.

Health & Safety:
There are emergency telephones located around campus, although I've never seen or heard of anyone using them. We had a couple scares last year concerning alleged assault, but one turned out to be completely fake and the other's result was never publicized. Campus police can be seen daily. I have never felt unsafe, and I like to run at night, so that's good.

The freshman dorms are pretty small and some of the RA's can be strict. The bathroooms were better than I expected but overall I didn't care for living on campus.
College Sophomore 2013-08-21T21:42:54Z
I received a couple scholarships for my grades coming in to college, but it does seem hard for me to find more scholarships.
College Sophomore 2013-08-21T21:39:59Z
It snows a decent amount there and I don't mind the cold too much but it is too windy for my liking.
College Sophomore 2013-08-21T21:39:01Z
There isn't a whole lot of drug activity at school but if there is they make the sure to deal with it very quickly.
College Sophomore 2013-08-21T21:36:05Z
It is a very good school with making sure that you know what you're there first and foremost to study and learn. Although they tend to be strict on campus about having friends from other schools and they really crack down on drinking.
College Sophomore 2013-07-21T19:00:13Z
A majority of the students on campus are caucasian and of christian affiliation. There are a few other ethnicities and religions, but the majority is pretty dominant and coming to college I was hoping for more diversity and cultural difference.

My schools athletic spirit makes me wanting to come back each and every year to experience again. We are 2 times National Champ for our football team, and even if we lose a game or even any other athletic event my schools spirit makes me proud to be a part of the campus life and excitement.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
