It takes some time to track down the truly great restaurants in Fargo, but there are lots here! Most of the non-chain restaurants are not very convenient to campus, however, as they are usually downtown or south by the mall. There is also a pretty wide variety of chains (no Chipotle, however, which is sad).

Greek life at NDSU is a wonderful experience that I am proud to have been a part of. You meet so many great people, get to participate in great events, serve your community, and have lots of fun. It is not for everyone, but I think the majority of people could find their place in NDSU greek life. Greeks aren't always as visible on campus at NDSU as they are at other schools, but many of the student leaders are greek and there are greeks in a majority of the organizations on campus, so even if people don't realize it, they probably know someone greek.

Compared to a lot of schools I have heard of NDSU has a pretty decent parking situation. Most of the lots are close to the dorms/classes and if not there is usually a bus you can take. Some of the more popular lots can get crowded, but finding a spot is rarely a problem.

Making the move from the cities to Fargo can be difficult for many twin cities natives, but once you settle in there are plenty of wonderful people, interesting classes, and great organizations that help make NDSU great. You also figure out that Fargo has a lot more to offer than first meets the eye.

NDSU has a great football team and a lot of the school spirit revolves around bison football games, and for good reason. The atmosphere at the games is incredible and games are a very popular weekend activity among students. Other sports are less popular, but not completely ignored either.
