The online class is great because you can work on your own and at your own pace for the scheduled assignments. There are moments when the system will crash and tech-support will get it back going, it is not always up by the next day though.

As the younger person of the student body, I was nervous to start classes but the students were so helpful and very nice I felt very welcomed to be in the classroom with them.

This college has been a great expererience. It does have some areas that could be worked on, but all in all the college is a great place to learn.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Since I am a duel enrollment student, I have not had to deal with Tution and Financial Aid. There was a problem with a fee placed on my account one time, so I went to addmissions and they took it off for me with no problem at all.

The college all together as a great variety of classes offered at different times and online. They also do a great job of scheduling different each semester so incase you can never make it to a class, you can catch that class next semester.

Throughout the college, I have met the professors that will help me to succeed in my career path and I have met the ones that do not care about where I am going in life. North Florida Community College is a very nice campus for a small rural area. For my first year in college it is a great experience, I would reccommend this college to my friend.

NFCC isn't really unique in this area. They don't have many creative and helpful programs besides just basic tutoring assistance.

I'm not a fan of online courses. I much prefer face-to-face interaction with my professor and peers. This being said, I think that the online courses offered at NFCC are fairly decent. They are often flexible, and the instructor is willing to work with you on issues. However, the peer-to-peer interaction seems lacking.

I plan on becoming a physician. I find it nice that NFCC has a decent variety of science based curriculum, with very intelligent, and helpful professors.

It's a community college, it mainly offers the core curriculum needed for most bachelors degrees, etc. I don't expect it to offer the same level of experience as a full fledged university. However, it would be nice if it had some sports programs, or some other extra-curricular activities. The professors are very good, and the courses are difficult but not overly demanding. So far I really enjoy it. I am able to get two years worth of college before I even graduate high school, this is great!

Our school has taken away all sports and does not have many student clubs offered. This can have a big effect on the student body's participation in school activities.

We are limited on facilities on campus. We have a very large library that offers a wide range of book with computers, then we have the student center that also offers extra study room with computers. The last facility we have is the sentinel which provides a dining room for students to eat lunch and is large enough to study with minimal disturbances.

I'm a business major and I love the classes and curriculum that is offered. I am able to focus on my major and connect with other students that are going into the same field as me. Also, because we have such a small campus I am able to connect with my business teacher which makes college more relaxed.

I am a duel enrollment student so the registration is always a hassle. I have been kicked out of classes before because administration did not code my application right. Also, while at the school my account has been hacked into under the professors supervision, she witnessed it happen and told me "oh well" without any help on how to retrieve my information.
College Sophomore 2013-08-08T02:48:14Z
The school has high speed network, with many centers providing updated computers for students. They have a variety of computers that use Windows to Mac. Printing on campus is not always the best sometimes the pages do not always come out clear.

NFCC has so much to offer when it comes to academics. They are a small college with big possibilities. Most of the professor really do have a passion for what they are teaching and that really helps when the students can see the passion they have for their job. The class registration process is very easy fast and simple. You can even do it online, which in the way I do it.

Getting your A.A should not be that hard but it has been for me. I have been paying cash for my college while still paying bills at home. I work 40 hours a week and sometimes that is still not enough. It has been so hard that my grades have fallen. If I could win scholarship money I could bring my grades and my GPA up. It would help me out so much that some of my stress would even go away.
College Senior 2013-06-28T11:47:18Z
I am someone that works all week and all day. I have no time during the day to attend school. NFCC's academic schedule is so flexible that I can go to class in the evenings when I get off work. This has been such a great thing for me. They also offer a lot of online classes. This has also been wonderful for my busy schedule.
College Senior 2013-06-28T11:43:40Z
The student body at NFCC is very diverse. There are students of all races, religions, and different backgrounds. NFCC is very accepting on anybody and everybody. All of the staff and student are very welcoming. I would not want to attend school anywhere else.

There is a lot of interaction between diverse ethnic groups. We talk and enjoy each others company and value each other's opinions. Teachers do teh same as well. We all see beyond the color of skin.

The library staff is always there when you are at the College. If you have any trouble loginn in to D2L or anything related to technology they are there to help. When it comes to answering the phone they are oblivious. When I was dual enrolled it was a hassle to keep calling them and they would never answer, felt like i mattered the least.

For some reason Professors already expect you to automatially know what is neccesary to achieve an A Plus. The Syllabus contains everything that you need to know on how to achieve an A. Sometimes however, you must constantly email a Professor to find our exactly what you are doing wrong and what is keeping you from an A+

I haven't seen or heard of any alumni activities. I know people graduate every year, but I don't know how or where they went after they graduated. It would good to know this information so I could have some more to look forward to and positive influences.
College Senior 2012-10-23T17:40:50Z
The school is small so there's not too much to do. There's student government and little clubs like that, but nothing I would be interested in. The students are diverse and from many different counties in Northern, Florida so I can socialize with people from all around!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
