Tuition & Financial Aid:
Everything I had to pay was talked about when I first started.

If I needed time to stay with my family my teachers were fine with it.

My experience this past semester was great and wouldn't go anywhere else.

When it is time to transfer to a different college, NGTC will be very helpful.

The teachers here are very hands on, and can always be asked about a question. They schedule your next semester classes during advisement, so thats really easy.

I go into the welding lab every day and practice, practice. I learn different ways to do things from the teachers and the older students. All my classes are related to my major.
College Senior 2013-10-06T13:25:50Z
I dont have any problems with flexibility, as I am taking just the welding classes. But the teachers and staff are very helpful here.
College Senior 2013-10-06T13:24:04Z
There are a lot of different age groups at my school. It is really helpful when I am in lab (all the time!) and one of the older guys shows me another way to do a weld. They have worked in the field a long time and came back to school for their certificate. There is only one dorm, and it is great that I can walk from just one floor to another to find my friends. I really like it here!

I have never personally had a problem with the internet, but it is just basic Wifi, so I wouldn't completely depend on it. Computers are always available in the library, science labs, and photography labs. One complaint I have is with their records system, which is how you sign up for classes, check your grades, everything. It is really hard to understand, and they should update it and make it more user-friendly!

Some of the resources are a library, a gym, a pool, and a cafeteria. Straight-forward stuff and that's it. The grounds are really nice. Also, a couple of the buildings are currently being remodeled (some of them are done). Everything looks nice and new, and is really updated.

NGTC has three different campuses, so it is easier if you are a commuter, like me. Library is always available, and staff is super helpful. They are willing to go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for a project, or whatever. Social scene is not great, because the schools are located in really small towns. Plus, 50% of the students are older, going to get their RN, for example. However, if mixing in all age groups and backgrounds sounds fun, NGTC organizes trips and fun campus activities all the time, and they are free to students. This past year, there was an Xbox game night, a skiing trip, and cooking classes, just to name a few.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid office has its ups and downs. It is really hard to get an appointment with them at the beginning of the semester, but I do not think that is any different any where else. My personal experiences have been great. My first semester was a nightmare, because I applied at another school, and they told me they couldn't get my financial aid on time, so I would have to pay out of pocket, in full. That is impossible. So, I went to NGTC and told them what happened, and they jumped through all the hoops for me. Turns out, there was an error at the other school, and they had already taken my financial aid and applied it to some one else's account. NGTC got everything sorted and I attended their college that same semester!

The professors here are exceedingly helpful. The school is smaller, so the classes are usually about 20-35 students, so it is easier, I think, for the instructors to be more involved. However, the downfall to that is you can be closed out of classes if you do not plan accordingly.

I am in the Pharmacy Technology program, and I am required to take classes that the nursing students take as well, which sounds annoying, but actually it is really helpful in the later pharmacology classes. My advisor is also the instructor of all the later pharmacy classes, which means getting all your information in one place, and that is super helpful! The workload of the classes is no more than to be expected; yes, there is more work as you go farther in the program, but I expect no less. All of the professors are super helpful, friendly, and qualified.

Very student oriented to promote unity and school spirit. Just underwent a change in mascot. Which was a school sponsored feel day full of student interaction, intermingled with some other college information.

Keeps busy. There is always some kind of talent show or student trip. Also there are multiple clubs to join. Some of them are proactive in the community and promoting leadership qualities in the students. Seem to be openly acceptance of all students.

Computer labs are amazing, the main campus has a lab that has three rooms for testing retakes. So far haven't seen any network issues, speed is excellent.
College Junior 2013-07-21T16:45:22Z
the classes are 50/50 with on line classes. the on line portion is very labor intensive and some of the questions overall are difficult to find in the textbooks. Once you find the answers then they are extremely useful for studying for tests that are given.

North Georgia Technical College is on the eve of a brand new Registered Nursing program. They have succeeded in implementing this new program and will be starting this falls it's first class. I have every confidence that it will be an amazing class with very enthusiastic teaches, as are the core class teachers.

I feel that this school brings real life jobs to people who need to be able to pay bills. I think that their options for possible majors is very in-tune with the area.

Most of the students seem to be hard working and interested in pursuing a career immediately after school. I like interacting with other career oriented students.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
