Around Northeastern State University, there is nothing but nature. Down the main road that goes the school is a small downtown area where popular restaurants and shops are. The stores are similar to each other so there is a chance you might see another girl with the same shirt. One restaurant that is very popular is Sam and Ella's Chicken Palace. They have the best pizza in town for a reasonable price. On Monday nights, students head over to a small club for country night and on Thursdays ladies enter for free. The nightlife is below average but we make it up by volleyball tournaments and floating the river. The school is located about 5 miles away from the Illinois River, where disc golf fields and canoeing are available.

Need new things in town

Tahlequah is an amazing town to live in. Everyone is very friendly here, and there is always some type of festival or event to go to. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of campus. Campus police are always around keeping everyone safe also. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I have grown up in Tahlequah. It is a great hometown and I am proud to be from here, though I am ready to experience something else for a little while. Tahlequah is quite small, and some say there is nothing to do here. A lot of people hate it, but I don't. I like small towns. Tahlequah has a great downtown. It's a great community. It's by a river and a lake. It has it's perks, for sure.

There are a few bars and clubs, bowling and movies, for summer there is the lake and river to go floating.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
