Division 1 sports in most sports. Basketball is getting better and better with each year now. Hockey is a classic, especially against teams like BU and UNH.

NEU is a great school with lots of academic options. I absolutely love the academic options. there are options to double major, do a combined major or even take on one major with some minors. the professors have office hours allowing students to interact with the teachers outside of the class room.

The campus is absolutely beautiful. During the spring and fall semester the athletic center is open until late and opens super early. the library is 24 hours and is even currently undergoing construction. NEU is all about upgrading and having the best of the best. Most/all athletics games are free for students. there is so much space to hang out and relaxing ranging from spacious quads with comfy seats to common rooms in residence buildings.

There are so many places to eat around campus. Northeastern's location is so convenient. Lots of off-campus dining places also accept Husky dollars from your ID as a possible method of payment. I give it an A- instead of A+ cause some places can be expensive. Most places have great food and great varieties. Also, a lot of places will deliver late at night.

I am currently undeclared and am very happy with my decision to come into Northeastern undeclared. Being undeclared has given me the opportunity to explore all my interests to figure out what it is I really want to major in. The academic advisers are wonderful and have helped me to pick classes and make academics decisions that will only benefit me in the long run based on my interests.

There are 2 subway stops on campus, including the oldest station in Boston. There are plenty of bus options. The commuter rail also comes through NU. Getting around campus is easy because it isn't too big, some people bike in from off campus locations. NU police provides late night shuttle home on the hour for safety purposes.
College Junior 2013-07-28T21:27:06Z
3 full cafeterias, 3 additional restaurants with meal-plan options, 2 small grocery stores on campus, and a ton of great quick food joints in and around campus. NU always seems to be updating and improving this.

Boston has many apartments. Most of them are held by students so you can sublet with people or easily find your own. The nicer ones however, don't want college students because the neighbors don't want parties going on next door. But near campus there is no problem finding one and you'll be in a building with other students as well.

Very good academics. The school has grown to be more prestigious from the time I had applied and all the professors are professionals in their fields and offer you their real world examples along with the textbook lessons you learn.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe on campus. There are usually a lot of people out and about so you are never alone. But keep in mind that Northeastern is in the middle of Boston. I wouldn't suggest walking around by yourself late at night. Keep to the main streets and you'll be fine. There are also escort services if you feel unsafe and emergency phones throughout the campus.

There are many school around Northeastern so there is always a party to go to. The bars are pretty much for the 21 and over crowd and there is one 18 and over club. But if you want to party, don't worry walk around and you'll hear some house music and just walk in.

There are hundreds of classes available for students in every major to choose from. It's also try easy for students to change majors, double major and pick up minors in any area of interest. Professors are of high quality and are always available to help students whenever they need it.

Games are so fun to go to!! Especially the hockey games. Other sports are slightly overshadowed by the hockey team.

If you get on campus housing it is generally nice. You have better luck with quads and doubles than you do with triples. Living in Boston is such a bonus when it comes to college life.
College Freshman 2013-07-28T15:15:11Z
A lot of options at each meal, however the options rarely change.

Once I was admitted to the school, I was admitted to the theatre program. There is no audition, but they are very accepting of anyone and everyone who declares the major. This is not to say is it a terrible program because they are not selective, it is quite the contrary.

Snow, snow, snow and more snow. Winter in Boston is a true winter. The weather can be very hot and cold (literally) but once it's nice outside, everyone savors those days and spends a lot of time outside.

I have not yet attended Northeastern but from what I understand, the sports teams are fairly competitive, but not a main focus in the school.

Greek life at Northeastern is lame. No one participates.
College Freshman 2013-07-25T21:03:49Z
You can use your husky dollars at alot of surrounding locations so if you get tired of cafe food it is easy to find somewhere else to go.
College Freshman 2013-07-25T21:02:22Z
Boston nightlife was made for people 21 and over. There are enough places for people younger than 21 but it gets boring. There are very few 18+ clubs but house parties are okay. Plus there are colleges nearby that you can go to for parties.
College Freshman 2013-07-25T20:59:36Z
I received a decent amount of financial aid. The financial aid office may be slow and frustrating at times but add long add you are willing to wait and talk to the necessary people if need be then things will work out.
College Freshman 2013-07-25T20:56:51Z
Public transportation is widely available since northeasern is in the city but the options decrease as it gets late.

I LOVE BOSTON. Best city there is. The food, the music, the scenery, the people, the nightlife!
