Guys & Girls:
Uggs and Northface – The girls can be stuck up, but there are a lot of chill, fun people too. There are plenty of north face jackets and ugg boots walkin' around though. Guys are pretty average.

If You Don't Mind the Snow – If you don't mind the snow and cold then Boston isn't bad at all. December through March can be rough but if you like skiing its wonderful. Summer's are awesome, the weather is perfect and so much to do. Plus with most other colleges off for the summer the city really clears out.

It's Boston - brutal winters but beautiful in the summer spring and fall. When the weather isn't changing at the drop of a hat. Classes get cancelled quite often because of snow, and once it reaches 50 degrees in the spring everyone hangs out outside

Pretty Diverse, Accepting, but High Income – Pretty much everyone is accepted here. There may be minorities, but Northeastern is pretty diverse, and very accepting. Most people belong to the higher income bracket, however.

Exceptional Bordering on Obsessive – The campus is beautiful and all of the grounds are always immaculate. The main gym can get crowded but it is very impressive. There are also other gyms around campus to avoid crowds. Dinning halls were tiresome as a freshman when I ate there everyday but as a senior I appreciate the food they put out. Computers on campus are widely available but the systems can be very slow at times.

Snow Snow Snow!! Boston is great during the spring through fall. Luckily NU has summer classes to take advantage of it. Snow rules the winter unfortunately. Girls need to learn that Uggs are not snow boots!

Health & Safety:
NU is very safe but Boston is not. It's hard to live in a city and expect it to be like a tranquil countryside. NU tries hard and has security in all buildings. NUPD is also full functioning cops so they have full authority.

A Lot to Do but Little Transport. Boston is a fun city but the trains shut down at midnight. If you go out, you need to plan or pay for a taxi.

Good but Expensive and Really Annoying to Deal With – The more expensive housing options are obviously nicer but who wants to pay a lot of money to live in a dorm? Plus, picking housing is really annoying and you aren't guaranteed housing after Sophomore year.

Not Bad but Expensive – The dining hall food is not bad but it is expensive and gets tiring after a while. The food places around campus are good but they are also expensive. You definitely do not need the meal plan with the most amount of meals.

Health & Safety:
Safe Campus, but Still an Urban Environment – The campus itself is safe and security does a good job, but NU is still in a city and you have to use your head. Each campus building is very well secured and dorms are safe. Keep your doors locked and use your head walking around at night, and you'll be good. No more crime at NU than any other urban campus.

Walking Is Fine, but the T Is Also Great – Being on such a small campus, there is no real need to have a car. You can walk from one end of campus to the other in 20 minutes. If you live off campus, the T is great.

Pretty Good – There is a pretty nice variety in the area, from kosher to Mexican to Asian... its out there! However, some places tend to be pretty costly, so beware of how much you may spend.

Most classes have become a lot harder over the last couple of years as a direct consequence of NU's rapidly growing reputation. But there are also the dead easy ones. It's a weird mix, but a good one.

Apartments Are Old, Lack of Privacy, and a Lot of Disturbances – Apartment buildings in Saint Stephen St are approximately 60 - 80 Years old.
Real Estate Agency usually disturbed tenants by knocking on tenants apartment doors to offer rooms to other people without 1 day announcement.
I don't know about other apartments

Computer quantity is really great ==> A+ for this
But usually on Monday-Thursday 10 AM - 4 PM due to printer quantity and loading time of the system sometimes it is not really fast enough to rush.

Real Strict – Good luck doing anything productive in Greek Life and in the club system. They're both horribly slow and make you jump through flaming hoops to do anything. Strictest (non-religious oriented) school I'm aware of.

Basketball and Hockey are our best and they're not even good this year.

Depends on RA – If you're RA's are cool, then you'll be fine. If they are douches than theres a good chance you'll be written up at least once
College Senior 2011-03-14T22:18:44Z
Could Be Much Better If Allowed – Not offered Greek housing. Greek life offers a variety of social and entertainment events. Good for parties but not essential. However, greek life administration sucks. They greatly restrict the quality of greek life

WOu will have three jobs by the time you graduate. You are the most valuable person on graduation and every employer will be fighting for you.

There are a lot of people so there is always something going on. Bars are a little stict but you can work aournd it. ONly problem is being in the city not as much space as other colleges.

CO-OP Program – There is nothing better than taking some time off of papers and exams to get real experience. When you graduate you will have a resume that will not only get you a job, but you will probably start above entry-level pay at most jobs.

It's the Same as Everywhere – There is nothing surprising or devastating about NU's policies. They are standard, and are not unreasonable. Don't get caught doing something on campus you shouldn't be. Live off campus and avoid the headache.

Sooo Many Options – Whether you stumble to Connor's, walk over to Boylston, or take the T down to Faneuil Hall there all of the party scenes are awesome. And that is just listing the local places. Venturing over towards BU and BC only add to the mayhem and fun.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
