Great City, a Lot of People – Boston is a great city. Their are so many colleges in the area that makes it really easy and exciting to meet people from the area. With so many different areas in the city you can really find what ever you are looking for.

Don't Know a Single Person That's a Part of It – Greek life is definitely not a dominating part of the social scene. I've never been to a frat party and I don't care to and there's absolutely no pressure to.

No Football Team – I know that hockey and basketball are supposed to be our big varsity sports, but we're not very good, we don't play state schools, and I have never felt compelled to attend a game. However, there are definitely options for students to play club and intramural sports, and we have great facilities.

Northeastern is in the middle of a major city, so finding a parking spot on the street is nearly impossible. The school does offer parking permits, but they are fairly expensive.

West Is Best – West Village provides apartment-style housing for upperclassmen. They range from single studio apartments to apartments for up to 6 people. Rooms can be singles or doubles, and offer a full kitchen and living room, as well as air conditioning for the hot summer months.

Excellent Options – Boston offers an excellent variety of food options at all price levels. You could spend $3 for a slice of pizza or splurge on a 3 course meal at a local restaurant.

Off Campus – I didn't try to get any help through the school while looking for off campus housing. We went on craigs list and found several realtors and had them show us around. It wasn't difficult at all getting housing, as long as you look early enough.

Athletic Centers – I think our athletic centers are really nice. Marino is beautiful and I wouldn't want anything to change about it. It would be nice to have more fields because I know it is really hard for club sports to get field time for practice over the varsity sports teams.

Criminal Justice – There are a lot of co-op positions for CJ majors, but almost all of them are law-related. It is much more difficult to find a co-op that is law enforcement related. The classes are incredible since they are all CJ related. Most of them are taught by well-qualified professors who work in their field, but there are some that are taught by grad students who are forced to teach as part of their grad studies.

I Love It Here! Northeastern university is such an amazing school. It has a great environment, being in the city, but it also has a campus feel. All the people are so nice and welcoming, and the teachers are the same, always there to help. The social activities are great as well.

Health & Safety:
Extremely Safe – I have never felt unsafe on Northeastern's campus. While it is in the city, it still has a campus feel that makes me feel safe and secure walking alone and walking at night.

They give away a lot of money when I was applying here. I am not sure what it is like now.

It is a great time. The administration is a huge pain, and they are starting to make it so that you have to live on campus for the first 3 years, which sucks though.

The T Will Be Your Best Friend – The T runs to pretty much every aspect of Boston. The wait for the T is usually no more than a 15 minute wait and is cheap, but the downsides are that during rush hour the T is beyond packed and it doesn't run until bars close.

The T is good. Only problem is that it stops running before last call.

Lots of snow and slush, and rain as well. On those days we stay home and drink and watch movies. If you can survive the winter, summer is quite rewarding

Lots of diversity here, I don't mind the people, but certain ethnicities smell awful and it sometimes permeates the library/ public areas

Anything You Want – There are great places in Boston for everyone, college stuff near campus, including late night delivery for chinese and pizza, Newbury Boyleston and north end are great high end places for dates, parents, etc.

Obviously Not a Reason I Came Here – athletics suck at northeastern. clearly, the football team was dissolved. i obviously didnt come to this school to go to huge football games, if i wanted a school that had those i would have gone somewhere else.
i heard the field hockey and baseball teams are good though

Let It Snow – The winters are city winter weather - lots of slush - get your warmest rainboots ready! But the summer is beautiful here too!

Guys & Girls:
Girls Hot Guys Not – As a girl, I will admit that there are thousands of absolutely stunning girls at Northeastern. The guys, on the other hand, not so much. It was literally the first thing i noticed at orientation.

Northeastern has great off campus housing. Most students move off campus by their sophomore year. There are thousands of apartments that are considered to be off-campus but are literally in the center of it.

Guys & Girls:
There are some gems at NU, but you might have to get through the rough... The great thing is you can meet people from other schools too. I'd rather be friends with most of the guys here than anything more, but that's not to say there aren't hotties.

You Get What You Pay for – The more expensive dormitories are fabulous and they'd be great to live in. However, the economy housing areas are small and not necessarily a fun or great place to stay.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
