Boston is cold, but Northeastern rarely cancels classes. On average, we have around 1-2 snow days a year. However, since the campus is relatively small and packed together, you never have to walk to get from side to side.

Northeastern has great options for everyone's taste. International Village alone has a permanent sushi station, an Indian food station, a grill, and a sandwich station. There are also always Kosher options.
College Sophomore 2013-08-26T12:02:25Z
Northeastern has good facilities for whatever you may need - a gym, dining halls, 24 hour library, etc. However, they are not exceptionally great.
College Sophomore 2013-08-26T11:57:11Z
Nobody cares all too much for sports at Northeastern. However, there is still a good spirit at games.

I love the co-op program that my school offers. However, we are a bit weak on school spirit.

As a music industry major, I've been exposed to tons of talented individuals and countless opportunities to form strong industry connections at Northeastern. They have an incredible program that fully gives you the chance to explore your options and the many things you can do with this major, and the amazing co-op program makes it even better.

It doesn't really seem to outstand as much as I would have thought. However co-ops are its key to stand out.
College Sophomore 2013-08-24T18:11:56Z
This area is safe however due to living in a city one will experience violence around the area making it unsafe for students.

The dorms are not wireless but the rest of campus is. There is swipe-to-print stations in the library and student center. Never any problems with network reliability. Laptop recommended but printer not necessary.
College Junior 2013-08-23T14:58:20Z
There are many parking lots/garages around campus. There is free off-street parking if you know the correct streets to not get ticketed on.

Boston is full of young people, events, and great places to visit. There is a lot of history in the city.
College Junior 2013-08-16T17:58:17Z
Freshman year dorms are notoriously awful, but rooms become so much better Sophomore and Middler years (apartment style suites). After that, though, most people live off-campus because dorms are expensive.

Guys & Girls:
Lots of bros, athletes, and the occasional hipster. Most people are from the tri-state area, but there's a lot of foreign kids, mainly from India and China.
College Junior 2013-08-16T17:55:37Z
Although I'm not that sure because I don't have a car, I hear from friends that it is crowded and pretty expensive. It's not a big commuter school, however.

The local atmosphere at Northeastern is good in general. There is a lot of friendliness from locals towards students and between students. Safety is also very good and public transportation is good as well. It has a pretty decent nightlife with many places to go to. Its in boston which is a college town and has many universities close to each other. There are many recreation activities to do, such as museums and parks.
College Freshman 2013-08-12T17:42:58Z
Computers at northeastern are very accessible for students to use. Labs are open 24 hours a day. There is wifi on all campus grounds and printing as well, student have 400 printing pages per semester. It is also very important to have your own computer specially when the labs get full.
College Freshman 2013-08-12T17:16:38Z
Nightlife at Northeastern is good because student often gather off campus at many different bars or clubs. One of the big benefits about this is taht you can meet different people from other univiersities such as Boston U or MIT. There is also a wide variety of different places to go to and different activities to do with people you meet outside your university. The bad thing is that you have to be 21 or older to drink in many places. Boston also has many activities that involve the arts, music, other forms of entertainment that can make students have a more cultural night. Other things you can do is either go to a frat party, or an apartment party that costs a couple of dollars, etc.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
