Northeastern is efficient at keeping students safe, which is certainly a good thing. In order to ensure safety, rules and regulations must be put into effect, and the University certainly doesn't mess around with its policies. Considering the fact that the campus is located in the middle of Boston, it's nice to feel secure and know that you are well protected by the University.
RAs are usually not looking to get any students in trouble; however, most do take their job seriously, and if you're having a loud party in your room or get caught drinking underage, you will face consequences. With that being said, you will not have to worry about intrusions from RAs or Northeastern security, unless you are doing something wrong and being obvious about it. Mostly, all cases where students are punished by the school are completely warranted. The Boston Police Department usually has no patience for students from any school, and officers will shut down parties that are loud and cause disturbances to neighbors.
