In a few of my classes this semester, there have been some middle eastern students. They had some problems with reading and speaking English that they needed some help with, but everyone in the class was willing to help them if they asked or didn't know something. I've been around ignorant people who would have treated these students poorly and with prejudice, but no one at this university acts that way, that I've ever seen.

Northern Kentucky University is a smaller campus so there isn't going to be a huge range of ethnic diversity like UK or other larger colleges, but I still do see a good amount of diversity. Recently, there has been a few religious protests so I would say that there is a little bit of diversity religious wise. I am not sure about NKU's political standing because it is something that I never hear about.

There are many different cultures and races at NKU. They try to encourage diversity by allowing a lot of students to come here from other countries and study aboard, as well as sending our students to other countries to study abroad. There are also many different political beliefs, religions and those differing in sexual orientation at NKU. They have many different groups on campus that allow all students to connect and find other students they have things in common with.
