I have no idea about the Greek life considering we don't have it here..I have watched movies about college and greek life but I don't want to believe that's how it really is in reality.

There are no dorms in NMC. People have their own house, live with family, or live in an apartment.
College Freshman 2013-12-10T09:14:26Z
I do love going to NMC but I want to become more independent since this is the same place I've been living in my whole life and meaning I am still living with my parents since the college is near...well, this is an island everything is near. Saipan is in the middle of the pacific ocean so I want to move on to bigger things and I've had dream colleges. After I graduate high school this year, I did apply to college in States and I got accepted into Kapiolani Community College and Hawaii Pacific University but I am not rich, so I couldn't fix it all together and I ended up starting my college education here .. not in States.. I do not regret it but I truly do want to go to College in the Sates where they offer many majors and have more opportunities of finding a job there. The financial part is the problem with me and many others here on Saipan..

It's great, I always find a parking and we have two big parking lots.

Since I live on an island and we are a U. S. territory we have all sorts of restaurants with different food choices we have american, italian, chinese, thai, japanese, vietnamese, filipino, etc. and of course our local food, Chamorro food! There are a few places here that have student discounts and a lot of students do go to those restaurants for lunch.
College Freshman 2013-12-10T09:05:58Z
We only have a snack bar but it's a good size for all the students considering there are different times students have classes and when they have a gap in between. The food is freshly cooked there and some catered but they're never old. The prices are acceptable. I enjoy it.
College Freshman 2013-12-10T09:03:54Z
It was a hassle but I got it done...their requirements for some documents were acceptable but I believe they should of been more organized.

Guys & Girls:
The great thing about NMC is that it is a diverse school. All of us have different friends and we're your normal young adults and older adults all wanting to further our education.

We are advanced considering we live on a small island in the middle pacific. Since we are a U.S. territory we have a number of academic classes which are the same as some in the U.S. But also because we are a small island we don't have as many majors I wish we did like in the U.S. Some of the majors I remember are Liberal Arts, criminal justice, nursing, natural resource management, business, education, and more.

Well, I live on an island so the transportation here is either, walking, people have their own car, people car pool with friends, or ride a taxi.

The local weather in Saipan is great. In Saipan, the weather is usually bright sunshine or heavy/slight rain. Most of the year, it is sunny. There is also only one season in Saipan. It is summer all year long. With regards to weather, Northern Marianas College in Saipan rarely gets canceled. The only way that classes will be canceled in the college in regards to weather is if there is a severely strong typhoon.

The student computer lab is open to all currently-enrolled Northern Marianas College ( Saipan Campus) students. Every ongoing students gets 20 free pages of printing school-related work every school day from Monday to Saturday. The network speed is at a good pace because all the computers are wired and there is a reliable wireless router with a decent speed. There is no real need for a personal computer or printer because computer and printer access is available to all currently-enrolled college students during every school day except on holidays and Sundays.

Saipan is a place occupied by people from all different racial and ethnic backgrounds. Consequently, there are many restaurants of ethnic variety. There are American fast food restaurants such as KFC, Taco Bell, Macdonalds, and Subway. There are Chinese restaurants such as ADOR and Diamond's Chinese Restaurant. There are Filipino restaurants such as Jhem's and Elegance Cafe. There are hotels with restaurant dining places such as PIC, World Resort, Kanoa Resort, and Fiesta Resort that offer a wide variety of food for different cultures.

Northern Marianas College in Saipan does not offer any campus housing options. If you want to study in Northern Marianas College in Saipan, then you have to find housing options off campus.

Unfortunately, there is only one campus dining place on Northern Marianas College campus on Saipan. It is called Breakpoint Cafe. Most of the foods sold there are Asian food which are sold at an unreasonably high price. Most of the foods are also salty and fatty such as hamburgers, fries, chips, ice cream, and other junk food. There is rarely, if any, healthy vegan/dietary options on Breakpoint Cafe. A half-sandwich costs $2.50, and a cheeseburger costs $5.50. It is too expensive and it is not worth spending money on.

Guys & Girls:
Most people are pretty fat here due to their cultural diet being composed of extremely salty or sweet. If you are one of those people who likes to spend lots of time with attractive people, this is not the place for you.
College Sophomore 2013-09-05T17:10:57Z
It's a small place around here, and I'm not too sure if people want to support activities or they simply have nothing better to do. It really is hard to tell. It sounds as if I'm ignorant, but trust me on this. There aren't a plethora of things to do, so people tend to flock to wherever there is something. I'm sure some people can relate to what I'm saying.
College Junior 2013-07-22T13:07:39Z
Rain or shine classes are always running. Unless he have a typhoon or earth quake then that would be the only time classes would get canceled.
College Junior 2013-07-22T13:02:56Z
There is a huge diverse population at the Northern Marianas College, it's fun to have such a muticultural campus because it helps students grow and learn from one another.
College Junior 2013-07-22T12:59:35Z
Because the more people who drive to school the harder it is to find parking sometimes. But if the parking is filled up there is a huge field we use to park on that has tons of space. So all in all there is always room for cars.
College Junior 2012-11-11T20:29:49Z
Health & Safety:
it is actually a safe school, but lacks security procedures that can ensure students are provided the necessary assistance. the school security is on a contract basis, security personnel are not trained to handle serious emergency situations.
College Junior 2012-11-11T20:23:32Z
the campus is small and it is rare to see any type of activity going on except at the student center where they have only one billiard table and an electronic dart board.other than that students would prefer to just attend classes and hang out with friends.
College Junior 2012-11-11T20:18:43Z
there is a national basketball team, but not that great of team. there is no other sport available to participate in. the gym is subpar. it lack instructors that can teach in specific sports.
College Junior 2012-11-11T20:11:11Z
Guys & Girls:
you'll find a diverse type of individuals at NMC. a good percentage of asians, and non-traditional students. everyone is all dressed in summer attire. the students are friendly, but not much is going on as far as student life on campus is concerned.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
