We have a Starbucks on campus! The owner of Starbucks graduated from NMU, so it provides a lot of great perks for us. We also are all given laptops through the school. Our school has WiMax, which allows people to be connected to the internet outside of campus and within in certain radius.

NMU campus life can be really exciting. My favorite time of year is Homecoming. There is a parade and most students attend the football game. Aside from that, not many students attend sporting events, except hockey! Hockey is the biggest sporting event here. The community and NMU students come together to cheer on the Wildcats! It's a lot of fun going to the games because the entire arena is into it. As far as other activities go, there is a lot of other events that go on around campus. On-campus students tend to know about these events better than the off-campus students. On-campus students are always together in the residence halls, where there are study rooms, the dining halls, and basements. I do feel that there needs to be more places for off-campus students to get together. We have a starbucks and a library. It would be cool, however, to get some kind of study/hang out lounge on campus.

The campus life at Northern is wonderful. Student announcements are sent out daily at 5pm with a variety of activities occurring on campus and their details, so if you're bored there is always something to do. There are open activity classes and a large variety of activity courses that one can participate in as well, and a gym if you just want to work out. There are study areas in virtually every building with plenty of outlets to plug in laptops if you're having trouble studying in your room, which happens to everyone at some point. Northern's campus is just small enough that it really isn't any trouble to walk to any of the buildings, and it is basically connected to the city of Marquette which has plenty of places to eat and shop. Something that is really comforting as well is that the campus is located directly next to Marquette General Hospital, just in case anyone gets into some trouble. All in all, I think Northern's campus is a safe, fun, and active place to be with plenty of academic support for its students.

Northern is a fairly decent place to be. There are many hangouts on campus including Starbucks right under the library. There are a few fast food places on campus including a grilled cheese place! There are tons of organizations and clubs to join. There is always a show, movie or live music performance going on campus. Even when it does start to get colder outside most dormitories are connected to one another so you could always just hangout in the lobby or the courtyard with some friends.

Northerns campus is amazing. There are so many different places to go to study, work out, play basket ball, run, etc. There are intermural sports that any one can play.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
