Northland Pioneer College is a community college in Northern Arizona, with four campuses and several centers. NPC offers small class sizes and affordable tuition. It's great for students who want to earn college credit while saving money. The programs at NPC are practical and career-focused. Nursing and cosmetology students (among others) receive plenty of hands-on training and gain the knowledge necessary to get their certifications. Even for those not on a specific career path, NPC offers all of the preparation necessary for what’s next.
There isn’t much to say for campus life. NPC does not have the lively environment of a university, and student activities are pretty limited. NPC is definitely an academically focused school. Most students commute to school and leave as soon as class is over. It’s uncommon to see students hanging out on campus, mostly due to the fact that there is no place to purchase food! What NPC lacks in campus life it makes up for in the classroom. It’s hard to get lost in the crowd at NPC. Class sizes are small, and it’s easy to get to know your professors. The advisers are easy to talk to, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
