After talking with my advisor I found that they help to find the right school for you if pursuing higher education or they help to find the right job for you. The school and the advisors are very active in helping the students live out their dreams and goals.

The online professors could be easier to reach. The classes are great online, but the professors don't interact with their students. It's like a do your work you pass, or don't and you fail type of deal. You rarely hear from the professors and maybe once every few weeks there will be a mass email sent to everyone in that online class.

The facilities are great on campus. The library is my favorite since that is where I spend most of my time. There are plenty of study rooms and computers that are available to students as well as knowledgeable books. The gym also is very accommodating and has state of the art equipment.

The computers available to students are great. They are up-to-date, and aren't slow. The network that students can hook to through their own personal computer makes it very easy by just using their school login. Printing papers out is also just as simple. They printers by the computers making it easy to find what you print and are quick.

I love this school. It is in the perfect location with a small town campus. The campus has a "homey" feel to it which makes me love it even more. Everyone there is friendly and willing to help with any problems that I have.

I am a transfer student and with that comes the hassle of transferring credits. Northwest made it very easy. They accommodated my credits which helped with my allied health degree in making the choosing of my future classes very easy.

I am an allied health major currently with the hopes of a nursing degree in the near future. The classes that I take help me to understand exactly what I need to know to be that nursing student. They are preparing me for my goals and encourage me to keep going as best I can. Learning the human body is incredible and there is so much to learn, but with the professors I have the make my experience well worth it.

The professors make themselves available to the students most of the time when they are not in class. The registration process is very easy with. Having advising day makes registering and meeting with your advisor a simple process. The library is very accommodating as well as the librarians that are always there to help you.

The professor's are incredible and help students in everyway possible to exceed in their classrooms. The programs that the school offers to help students financially and academically make getting that education a wonderful experience. Northwest works with their students to make them the best possible student they can be.

If you put in the effort, and actually interact and show up to class, the professors will gladly work with you if any issues arise.

Library is excellent, Computer labs are mainly in FAB and the Library, but every building has a couple. All printing is free, wireless can be bad at certain times of day in the halls.

Facilities are good for the most part, social scene depends who your friends are, and there is various opportunities to get involved in around campus.

Strong international student presence on campus, the multicultural and diversity clubs are very active on campus. Outside of that, mainly students from Wyoming and Montana, with a couple other states. The particular flavor often depends on what is your major, and in which hall you have been placed.

I was a Biology major at Northwest, but I also took Organic Chemistry as well as a lot of other STEM classes, so in my case the workload was especially heavy compared to other majors. The major has a lot of flexibility built in, so this is not always the case. A lot of the biology classes have field trip and dissection components built into the class, taking advantage of being close to Yellowstone. There is also opportunities for undergraduate research.

The Academics at Northwest are amazing. The professors are awesome, most of them either have PhD's or their M.S with years of work experience. They are enthusiastic to teach, interact with the class, and are there to answer questions. They keep office hours, but you are welcome to drop by whenever they are in and not terribly busy. In the Science and Math building at least, their is opportunities for field trips, independent studies and undergraduate research.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition is low, and generally financial aid is fantastic! As an out-of-state student, it was cheaper to go to Northwest College than to go to a Community College in my home state. I was fortunate to have a low EFC so I received federal aid, and I received various scholarships for Academics, Biology and Music.

Online courses I participated in were great, but I hardly had any other student interaction. I felt it was just mostly me and the professor, or more accurately, me and the computer. It didn't really affect my grade, but I learned that I definitely prefer face to face interaction. I would also like to interact with people who have the same interests as me in person.

My school thrives on diversity and welcomes people of all races, sexual orientation, and religions. Every year the school hosts a drag race competition free for all students to enter and attend. People are regarded for their achievements and personalities. When entering a classroom, you may be seated between someone covered in tattoos with pink hair, and a person wearing jeans, cowboy boots, and a ten gallon hat. Everyone is free to be themselves.

The Northwest College campus was the perfect size to me. It was not as big as Arizona State University (a college I visited) but not so small that I couldn't have a full college experience. Everything is within walking distance, and the rooms were an adequate size. The halls are all different from each other, which adds some good diversity. There is a full mix of people, with different ages, interests, and intended degree studies. The price is so reasonable compared to many other colleges! And for me, it is only an hour and a half from home.

There are many knowledgeable faculty members roaming around campus for most of the day, and the student building stays open fairly late into the evening to accommodate class schedules. Fellow students are always quick to help direct and inform. There are many activities available for athletes, such as a recreation equipment outfitting service open Monday through Friday. The library is near the heart of the campus and offers student services such as peer tutoring.
College Senior 2013-06-26T20:56:16Z
The network is surprisingly fast considering how many people constantly use it. There are many PCs and Macs available all over campus as well as printers. For my degree, there are even more adequate printers in the classrooms for high quality and large print jobs.

I have not really decided a Major. I'm really liking the Anthropology and Intro in Archaeology class. The teacher has lots of experience in the field so he makes it hands on and personal.

I absolutely love taking online courses here at Northwest College and would recommend it to anyone who isn't the best test-taker. I have trouble with in-class tests because I get really antsy when other people turn in their work before me. With online classes, I can take my time as long as I don't go over their time limit, which is pretty hard to do if you've studied beforehand.

The computers on campus cause problems for students on a regular basis. The internet connection is not always reliable in certain places on campus but when in most of the buildings they are very reliable. We have a program that works for online classes as well as school email and it works very well except for at least once or twice going down.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
