You definitely need a car, unless you live next door, which very few people are lucky enough to do.

Despite the lack of racial diversity within the school, Bloomington and the Twin Cities are great places to live, work, and play.

I don't have any experiences in the financial aid department, but my scholarships from other resources are processed smoothly and efficiently.

Guys & Girls:
This is not a diverse school when it comes to race. Almost everyone is white.

Health & Safety:
The University Health Services is the only one I know of that offers free health care for students. The campus is so small that it's unlikely not to be safe.

It's quite cold, but it isn't anything one can't acclimate to.
College Sophomore 2013-12-02T02:16:56Z
The safety officers are simply present. They don't interact much with students, and students don't get into run ins with them.

There is no Greek life here. You'll have to go to one of the other universities to experiences that.
College Sophomore 2013-12-02T02:14:14Z
No complaints so far. This is a very focused university, with very little other than academics.
College Sophomore 2013-12-02T02:13:32Z
There's lots of apartments and houses for rent. The real estate economy is pretty good, so you won't run out of options that are too far from school.

Bloomington has a very eclectic palate. If you have a taste for it, chances are you can find a restaurant that caters to it.
College Sophomore 2013-12-02T02:11:17Z
Formal athletics are nonexistent. Every once in a while, a fundraiser would involve a sport, but there are no official teams.
College Sophomore 2013-12-02T02:10:08Z
Very small cafeteria with limited options, but food is consistently good.

Because it's such a small campus that used to be a high school, parking is abundantly available and never too far. It's also free.
College Sophomore 2013-10-04T00:38:04Z
The computers at libraries and computer labs are always functional and there's plenty of support personnel to fix problems. Network reliability is lacking; the college actually has an open network that anyone can get onto. However, the speed is solid. The wireless access is certainly spotty in some areas. For classes, you most certainly need a personal computer, but not a printer. Part of the tuition goes to printing costs.

Very small campus. Building used to house a high school. Great health care facilities that are free or discounted for students.

Very small university. Building used to be a high school.

Because it is primarily a grad school, the campus life isn't full. The academics are optimal however.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T20:05:13Z
Lots of places close to the University. Opportunities to share costs with others as well.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T19:53:34Z
There is not a traditional dining center on campus.
College Sophomore 2013-07-30T19:51:35Z
You make it want you want. I'm in a grad program with lots of studying together but also opportunities within the city of Minneapolis to find fun things to do together.
College Senior 2013-01-06T08:12:05Z
We have African Americans, Asian Americans and white folks. All sorts of backgrounds, mindsets and beliefs.
College Senior 2013-01-06T07:55:46Z
My school has three main programs and our student's are divided by program and trimester. It makes talking to other Massage students very easy and finding study buddies pretty simple to.

Health & Safety:
Health Science is the main focus of Northwestern Health Sciences University. We have two working research clinics inside our school.

Everyone who goes here is used to MN weather so we brave the seasons together. The campus remains beautiful all year but that is helped greatly by the atmosphere everyone maintains.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
