I received an amount I was happy with until, I was told after the school began that it was not enough to cover the school. I did not receive the information needed so I could have maybe chosen a different school.

very little to choose from. it gets old after a while. you have to go 20-30 minutes to have a lot of variety.

I don't plan on internships until my junior year of college.

I enjoy my teachers the most. They make the experience that much better.

computers need to be updated. you can tell the software is outdated, but it gets the job done.

Typical. Really hot summers, and really cold winters.

no difficulty in getting into any major. You can enter any major of your choice.

Certain programs are very challenging, it definitely isn't a walk in the park. it takes a lot of dedication and commitment.

Tutors are available to trio students. Depending on your major, the workload can be overwhelming, such as Biology.

the options are minimal. Dennys, subway, and Grandys. Most of the good restaurants are in Princeton twenty minutes away.

Not much racial diversity, but different personalities.

I understand some of the rules, but we are adults!

The apartments are actually pretty nice. Just small!

Most of the buildings are new, but the underclassman dorms are older and a little leaky when it rains, but overall could be worse.

We have plenty of diversity for a small campus and everyone is accepted here.
College Sophomore 2013-04-19T01:21:31Z
not much for students to do around here. You have to drive 20min away just to get to more restaurants and fun activities.

We have excellent food in our cafeteria as well as a cafe that is open when the cafeteria is not. We have a regularly scheduled menu. The plan is expensive, however. There are many restaurants in town as well.

Our school has an extensive exchange student program, so there is a large diversity of culture, race, and religion. I do not know so much about sexual orientation. So much I think it is mostly heterosexuals, seeing as this is a Baptist college.

I feel extremely safe in my college town. We have things like restaurants, a bowling alley, and a good bunch of stores. However, the attractions are about 30 minutes away. Our town is moderately dull.

The computers themselves are fine in some labs, however, the library computers are are from around the 1980's. The wireless in our dorm is very slow when a bunch of people try to get on it.

Our school's professors are the best I have heard of. Why? Not becaue they are the highest rated or graduated from the best schools, but because they care about you and what happens to you. So many college professors do not care about what happens to the students or whether you show up at all. Here, professors are unhappy if you miss their classes, some even e-mail you to ask why and to make sure everything is okay. I believe that this encourages students to come and helps them succeed, knowing thaat they aren't just a number to our school.

Off campus dining around here is terrible. There are three options: Denny's, Grandy's, and Subway. None of them offer student discounts and it gets very old eating at the same places all the time. If you have a car, you can travel to Princeton or Petersburg and have more access to lots of fast-food restaurants, but both towns are roughly 20 minutes away.

There are quite a few computers at Oakland City University. However, it is necessary to have one in your dorm room because you have to go to a different building to use a computer otherwise. The wireless connectivity was bad at first in the girls' dorm, but the IT fixed it rather quickly and now it does not disconnect or run slowly on the top floor. Wireless access is available everywhere on campus, so you can drag your laptop anywhere, including the grassy knoll if you want. You do not need your own printer because the library is very close to all dorms and printing is free, which is very nice.

I have not had an internship yet, but I do plan to have one soon. I haven't had time to fit it into my schedule with different other classes I have to get through before a certain time. I do not have concerns about an internship in particular. If I had to choose though, I would think it's going to be a lot of time spent with no real benefit, for example a paycheck. I do want the experience though.

We do not really have a "Greek Life" on our campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
