Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Oakland University has much to offer any student, with free state-of-the-art workout facilities, workout classes, and parking. Oakland University is not only considered an affordable school—but also a good one. If students had the chance to choose a college all over again, most would say they'd still choose Oakland University. Oakland gives students tools like academic and career advising, and also online classes and tutoring. Clubs and organizations help students to get involved and meet new people, while internships help students get real world experience in their professional fields while still in school.

Through connection programs, like one that helps freshmen become accustomed to college life and introduces them to students pursuing the same degrees, Oakland creates a safe environment for students to learn. Oakland is also considered one of the safer campuses, giving students the option of being escorted home by a student cadet when walking alone at night in the fall or winter semesters; this is known as the "Safewalk" program and is only a phone call away.

Good

There are always computers available on campus and there is wifi in every building. You get 25 free prints each semester that roll over which I like a lot.

Michigan Weather

The campus is small so its easy to get indoors in bad weather. Classes are hardly cancelled. In nice weather there are a lot of people studying and talking outdoors.
