The students say it best! There never has been, and never will be, any Greek life at Oberlin, and just about everyone likes it that way. Oberlin is a small enough school that you don’t need organized societies to meet people. There are plenty of extracurricular activities and off-campus parties, and most people at Oberlin don’t like the idea of exclusive organizations in the first place.

There is no Greek life whatsoever. It's nice to lack that competitive edge. We have co-ops, which are laid-back program house deals.
