  • The Health Center provides taxi vouchers to "pay" Yellow Cab drivers to take you to off-campus medical or counseling appointments. You pay nothing out-of-pocket, and your student account is charged for the cost of the taxi after the voucher is used.
  • Outpatient diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses
  • Over-the-counter and some prescription medications
  • Participation in groups (women, eating and body issues, relationships, drugs and alcohol, depression)

  • Oxy has a partnership with the nearby Huntington Memorial Hospital to provide after-hours and emergency care for students.
  • Students at Occidental have worked to create and implement a much stricter rape policy for the campus.
  • The Emmons Health Center has the PASS (Promoting Awareness of Substances and Sexuality) program that educates and provides counseling and referral in the areas of sexuality, STD/HIV, family planning, and alcohol and drug use to Occidental students. PASS activities take place in a variety of settings including the residence halls, Greek houses, on the quad, and other places across campus.
