Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Ocean County College's academic strengths include its great professors, the variety of majors (ranging from criminal justice to broadcast production), and students having the opportunity to learn languages such as American Sign Language and even Latin. Students have the opportunity to shape their lives into successful ones. In addition, students can experience hands-on training with resources like editing equipment used in news production rooms and the music industry.

Every college is not perfect and has its flaws; one of the many academic weaknesses at Ocean County College is the overcrowded lecture halls. The professors at Ocean County College like to get to know their students by inviting them to their office hours just to get to know them on a personal and academic level outside of the classroom. Ocean County College professors want their students to succeed; therefore, they provide the best help so that every student leaves OCC with high expectations. Students can expect the workload to be a bit over-the-top. Because this isn’t high school anymore, teachers are not there to babysit you; they are there to help you succeed in the real world.
