It's Ohio weather. There's hot, cold, rainy, snowy, sunny, cloudy, whatever you can think of. It's very unpredictable but school will almost never get cancelled because of it. Just have clothes for all kinds of weather.

I love the professors for allowing us to use our critical thinking to solve problems and process new information.

I am very pleased. My professors are very knowledgeable and are very open and respectful to me as a student.

I am very pleased with my campus and the expectations.

There are so many different dorm buildings it depends where you live. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The most important thing is to get a social floor that gets along.

The university is willing to work with you and there are many huge scholarship opportunities.

The police and school authorities are very lenient as long as you treat them with respect and don't do any thing stupid

The dorms are ridiculously crowded for a college that makes so much money. Although there are some nice ones, most are in need of a renovation. More facilities should be added so they aren't so crowded.

Classes are challenging but that only pushes students to do their absolute best. Professors and teaching assisants are very willing to help and will do so any way they can. A lot of work is sometimes required but it is well worth it, especially at such an amazing university.

Campus and local area buses are a great mode of transportaion for students and are accessible from almost anywhere on or near campus. Buses are running almost constantly and you are sure to get where you need to be.

There are numerous computers to use in a variety of camous locations however, some just aren't as reliable as I'd like. Also, when its testing time, computers are scarce and Wifi can get testy.

Engineering department is amazing and I totally would do it again. I want to be a Disney imagineer and design/build parade floats.

You can always find some place to go and have fun. The cops hardly bust parties unless people are there that aren't wanted or if they are harmed by the guests.

There is such a variety and Ohio State University is prominent for majority of them. If you don't know what you want to do they for sure help you find out within your first year and even plan what classes to take so that once you figure it out you aren't behind and can graduate in 4 years.

There are many off-campus housing choices. There are tons of houses to rent, as well as apartment complexes that offer one and two bedroom units for those who prefer not to live with a house full of people. The issue is that much of the off campus housing is close to the ghetto, and there is a lot of crime, including gunpoint robberies. Many of the houses tend to be outdated and expensive.

Guys & Girls:
I am giving an average grade. Ohio State is a huge campus, so there are tons of people. The guys tend to be athletic and in good shape, but many of them are party boys and are not looking for relationships. Many of the girls are sloppy drunks.

There aren't many scholarships available for graduate students in my program. There is one particular scholarship that is awarded based on financial need, but it is for a small amount, and it is only available to a few students each year. Applying for financial aid is relatively easy at Ohio State, and you will likely be offered many loans. Just check your Buckeye Link account regularly to ensure that you have done everything on your to do list for your loans to go through.

The computer labs are usually moderately full for the most part, not all computers are connected to the printers/scanners, and sometimes the computers are out of order, have missing parts, or the printers will eat money without giving any printwork

There are many options for dining in, fast food, and there are several places on High Street that offer delivery.

There is very little regulation on guests. The only rule is that they must be accompanied by a student. There is no enforcement of how long they are able to stay.

Guys & Girls:
All I can say is girls girls girls. Diversity is all over and no matter what race you are people get together. Walking to class without looking at a girl is nearly impossible. Yet, its nice to meet someone and hopefully be able to go on a date with them. College is the place to start for relationships in my opinion.

Receiving a scholarship can be very challenging at The Ohio State University. I would say you need to make sure you did outstanding on test scores and GPA coming out of high school, get involved to join programs on campus to find different scholarship opportunities, and always to talk the financial aid department! Get on the deans list almost every year and you will be noticed.

There is plenty of clubs/bars to go to but more of the adult who is 21 or older. For being underage, you can still have fun at certain clubs on certain days as well as fine house parties so your still in luck to have a great time. Buses are provided for students so they wont have to be caught walking all over campus drunk and ended up hit by a car. Having buses also helps less people drinking and driving which is good.

Athletics at The Ohio State University is a big deal and everyone knows it. When tickets go on sale they're sold with in minutes/seconds. Game days are always packed and just about sold out with both students and people outside of the university. Win or lose, everyone supports the team and continues to come.
College Sophomore 2013-05-29T13:36:58Z
It's free and it's everywhere. Buses have clear routes and run all over the city, so if you don't want to walk, you can hitch a ride. Taxis are somewhat expensive however they are easy to get.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
