Columbus is the capital city of Ohio and with that said, it's a great city. You will find anything and everything here that you may be looking for. In downtown Columbus, there are various events that go on daily. The Short North is one of these. No matter who you are or what you are interested in, you will find someone here that is interested in the same thing!

Ohio State is like a small city. Plenty to do on campus (movie theater, restaurants, coffee shops) , new renovated student union, bus lines to all your classes and surrounding apartment areas. Classes are challenging but professors are easy to work with. A lot of different organizations that you can join and a diverse mix of students. Public transportation is free with your BuckID. Student discounts! I once saw Chris Rock for free! Free or low cost concerts and a plethora of other events. Overall, a good college experience.

Guys & Girls:
There are a lot of different types of guys and girls because people come from all over to go to OSU. There are the athletes, city boys, country boys, preps, party goers, artistic. Some of the girls are a little stuck up its hard to make friends with them and they kind of all dress the same unless you run into one who is artistic or just different from the rest.

They have different activities and groups that show the how diverse the community and school is. So even if you don't see it while walking around campus chances are is a group or activity for it. But the bad part some of them aren't advertised as much so you really have to look for it or ask around.

Spring and summer the weather is amazing, but once it hits winter it gets freezing! ohio has the tendency to change weather every five minutes, thus, there's no steady weather.

One day at Ohio State you could have a chance of seeing all four seasons.

They are helpful when you get them but the chances of getting them so far for me has been hard or slim.

It is pretty good and has a very good amount of choices.

I have not attempted to be involved in Greek life nor do I know anything about the Greek life.

There is not an extremely large number of people who use hard drugs and I would say that they are relatively difficult to come by however not impossible. There is an average amount of marijuana and alcohol use which is whatever.

The classes necessary for engineering are extremely difficult as expected. Chemistry is probably the hardest course on campus. However, they are do-able if you utilize resources such as peers, tutors, and professors' office hours.

Guys & Girls:
It seems that there are a lot of "plain-jane" girls and nerdy country boys in Ohio, but there are also a lot of different types of people on campus considering the large student population and wide variety of areas of study. You will definitely find someone for you if you just look in the right places; I sure did. I would suggest joining clubs to meet people who share similar interests.

The general courses needed for engineering are extremely difficult as expected, but do-able. Chemistry is probably the hardest subject on campus. The professors I have encountered are very intelligent and helpful in terms of individual attention.

High Street has tons of options for places to eat including fast food and sit down dining.

Academics are outstanding. OSU continues to be top rated for research and development for many departments.

It more expensive now. The bars are nice but the number of options are not there as there were years ago.

It is a highly involved program and lots of group work is done. We get to know the other students very well. My professors are awesome and help when needed

The dining facilities are generally nice. I prefer the market type dining facilities to the cafeteria halls. The food is freshly prepared in the markets, where are the cafeterias are not.

Alcohol is all over the off campus area. I'm not into drugs, so I don't know much about that scene. Not many people get picked up for underage drinking, as long as they're being respectable of the property they're on and the people that are around.

I love Ohio State. There is nothing you can't do here. In the marketing specialization, you get to know a lot of your peers because you end up being in the same classes as they are your junior and senior years. The workload is moderate, the facilities are extraordinary, and Ohio State and the Fisher College of Business are excellent at giving you the opportunity of finding an internship/job after the school year is over.

Getting into the marketing specialization at Fisher College of Business at Ohio State was a fairly easy process. Applying is easy, then you just wait for your acceptance. The most important criteria for admission is GPA.

I am very happy with my program. The teachers are great and very dedicated to their jobs in Fisher College of Business. I would do it all over again if I could. I made a great decision. My career goals are to obtain a Marketing degree from Fisher, then to go on to optometry school. I am not concerned about finding a job with the Marketing degree I'll have from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business.

Aside from the many different construction sites going on currently at OSU, the facilities that are open are amazing. You have The Oval or Oval Beach (biggest lot of grass at central campus where games are played, people tan during the summer, first buildings built surround it), Thompson Library (at 12 story building that is great for studying, and stays open 24/7 during finals), the Schottenstein Center (Schott for short) where concerts and basketball games are held, the Woody Hayes Athletic Center is close by the Schott where football practices and workouts are held, The Shoe where events take place such as Buckeye Frenzy (for all incoming and transfer students to get their first experience in the Shoe), and mainly football games that are live from 8am til whenever. All of these facilities are little highlights that happen throughout a school year that has a wide variety of activities and events going on across the campus.

Transportation options at OSU are really good. If you live in University Village, residents have their own big red buses that travel to and from campus. There is also CABS and COTA. CABS is strictly for OSU campus, and residential living areas, and COTA travels to the medical center, downtown Columbus, and even passed Northern Campus. You can look at multiple stops to see where you need to go (each route is color coded), you can call the number they provide you, or check their site and choose the route you are needing and it will provide you with how long of a wait you will have before the bus reaches you at the nearest stop around you. You can also drive (parking permits are for certain areas, so you will want to know what areas you can or can't park in), and there is always the options of biking, or even walking.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
