OSU strives to provide dining opportunities that fit student's budget and schedule. They offer many types of plans fitting different budgets and also provide many places on campus to eat. There are a wide variety of styles of dining, such as dining halls, cafes, grocery, and restaurants. Therefore, even if you are in a hurry between classes you can find something to eat on your meal plan.

OSU's campus offers an incredibly diverse community to be involved in. As a Japanese major at OSU, I am deeply involved with many of the Asian community organizations on campus. Many Asian communities are well represented and are encouraged to share their culture through events and community service.

I am studying Japanese language at OSU. I cannot imagine studying Japanese at any other school because the Department for East Asian Languages at OSU really invests in your educational experience. The classes are intense and offer an "immersion" experience and many of the teachers are native Japanese speakers.

OSU doesn't really do drugs but drinking is pretty big here. The school handles it well though, and provides a lot of support for "responsible drinking" and safety services for students.

They are very nice and well kept. They always work on keeping them up to date. But they are very expensive.

Everybody is involved at OSU in athletics. Weather a varsity sport, club sport, or simply a fan, there is no escaping it. It's part of being a buckeye.

School spirit is Huge at Ohio State. Everybody know about the football team and the marching band!! Student section at football games are crazy and so much fun!! But there are plenty of other sports/clubs that you can get involved in. There are two work out facilities and they are free as you pay for them as a part of tuition.

There is a free service that runs around campus for students (Campus Area Bus Service: CABS). And Students can ride the COTA line buses for free with a student ID. You can text to find the next pick up times at the location nearest you. Really easy to ride.

Ohio State is located in Columbus, the capital of Ohio so there are plenty things to do!! High Street is known for the bars but there are other sport attractions and movie theatres and other various lost cost things to do.

The Computer Labs are average. They are all equipped with numerous computers but it is a large campus with a lot of students so around finals times it is really crowded.

Some of the areas are a bit dated, but they are working on making lots of improvements, especially with energy efficiency. I love being able to walk a few blocks and get to stores, restaurants, etc. Love running into President Gee here, there, and everywhere!

Love everything about OSU...the energy, Buckeye spirit, friendliness. It's an awesome experience to be part of it all.

So many options and so little time. The only reason why this isn't a A+ is because it can be sometime expensive.
College Sophomore 2013-01-18T01:51:45Z
It's good, but the upperclass men don't like freshman at bars. So i'd advise freshman to just go to parties. Music is better plus it's easier to socialize.

Health & Safety:
I always hear about people getting robbed. it is big campus and it is hard to keep every place safe. I never got robbed but it is always scary because at night, there are so many places that people might hide and attack me. It is good thing that we have stands which has emergency button everywhere in campus and it makes me feel safer.
College Sophomore 2013-01-17T06:13:49Z
I always heard story about accidents around campus. some people got hit by a truck or get robbed around the campus. it is pretty big campus and i'm sure that it is hard to keep every place safe. also, i see people who always talking about drinking in the dorm and i hate drinking. even my roommate have alcohols in my dorm and i'm scared that when they caught, they might blame on me.

Parking permits are pretty expensive but there are some off-campus spots available

I'm currently about to get into the Fisher program, i have heard it is very competitive and over looming workload, the overall building space of the college is very modern and exciting to go there

Just take this: we have one of the best sports centers in the nation.

The Computers in Ohio State are slow, but the network is really fast, including the wireless. And that's enough!
College Sophomore 2013-01-14T07:54:43Z
I am now a freshman and there is no space for freshman to park.
But seniors told me that situation will change in the future.

I am in the Masters program for Occupational Therapy and I love it! Some of the professors are a bit unorganized due to the recent change to semesters, but we are getting so much hands on/practical experience that many other programs do not get early on! I would definitely recommend the program to others because we are really learning how to be well rounded OTs. I feel like I am really being set up for success in my program.

I did my undergrad at University of Illinois and I can definitely say parking is better at OSU than U of I, but it's still not perfect. I have a C pass which is what most students can get and if you get to the closer campus lots any time after 9am, it's almost impossible to find a spot! There are lots of buses that take people from the farther lots to the main part of campus, but it's still a pain in the butt. There is also a lot of meter parking, but if you're on campus for a good chunk of the day, it sucks to have to pay so much for parking.

Off-campus housing can turn out to be a lot cheaper than living on-campus.
The main problems people come across is transportation and who they want to live with in the apartment.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
