I think Ohio State is very diverse. There are people from all walks of life, religion, and nationality. There are also extracurriculars and groups for all kinds of interests, so there are sure to be groups formed for your particular diversity to get involved with others, both the same as you as different.

One of the best things about a big campus like Ohio State is all of the choices for dining. Many of them offer a combo-type meal for a swipe with your Buck ID. They are all pretty tasty. There are also many choices along High Street for something a little different.

The process itself is not a problem, but if you are not low-income or a minority there are very few possibilities of getting one. Also, a 3.2 GPA must be maintained for any academic scholarships and it is extremely difficult to maintain that in Engineering.

I'm currently in the Fisher College of Business and it's great. The amount of opportunities it's offered me already, even as a freshman, has been beyond my expectations.

Never had a problem with using wireless here at OSU. I stream netflix all the time and it still works great, never any glitches.

I haven't had a chance to take too many classes here at OSU yet, because I'm only in my first semester as a freshman. But I would definitely rate the academics here as great for what I've seen so far.

I've seen more Asians than I ever thought was possible in college! But all in all, there is a huge variation of people at OSU, including people from India, the Middle East, Hispanic countries, and more. It's great to not just be surrounded by white people all the time.

Off-campus housing is cheap and close to the main campus area. Some areas can get dicey at times, but most of the time you will be surrounded by other students. Columbus is a reasonably large city, so simply exercise the usual precautions.

Pretty sure OSU just got rated one of the top schools for on-campus dining. The Union and Marketplace are great for people with blocks and Kennedy Commons is amazing for traditions. If you have any special dinning needs, you're still going to have a lot of options.
College Sophomore 2012-09-21T02:51:17Z
There are multiple options, OSU will usually have what you're looking for. I haven't heard any complaints in any particular area either

You really need your own laptop to survive at college, but there are usually computers available if you need one away from your dorm
College Sophomore 2012-09-21T02:48:13Z
Buses run around campus and they are usually helpful in getting around campus. Just don't rely on them too much.

I feel the facilities are very nice I take advantage of them as much as possible.

Speaking for myself I have only had good experiences with the Ohio State University Transportation.
College Junior 2012-09-20T19:44:37Z
The students and staff are very friendly.Everything is right there you do not have to travel to far, however if you do have to travel public transportation is at every corner

Health & Safety:
It can be a little rough just off campus and late at night it is in downtown Columbus.

The Campus Area Bus System(CABS) is always running and stops at every stop. There are four different routes to take you anywhere on campus. They run about every 5 minutes. The COTA bus also runs on campus so you can go off campus if you wish too, but can be unreliable at times.

The Ohio State Marching Band is the best band that you can ever see.

I live on North Campus, aka the non-partying side. and I figured there would be plenty of nice guys over here. And nice isn't the problem- most of them are engineering, anti-social hermits who play video games all day.
College Sophomore 2012-09-16T01:58:32Z
The variety is pretty good, but only if you are on one of the block meal plans. The traditional meal plan has very limited options- only the main dining halls on campus and if you want to go to a good place, it is far depending on where you live.

It gets really expensive and parking is a massive disaster. The tow trucks in Columbus are psychotic and love to tow if you manage to park where you shouldn't. Also, living east of High street can be kind of dangerous as it is a very urban area.

Lots of bars to choose from and frats almost always have a lot of parties

Wireless Very Unrelaible – It is very hard to get a wireless connection if you are not in a building. So if i wanted to do my homework on the oval, i would have to sit in a very precise spot in order to get a signal.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
