great campus, everyone is friendly. a lot of things to do, great gym, swimming pool, weight room, rock climbing, etc... a lot of extracurricular activities. beautiful campus. good amount of time to finish homework, however procrastination would be really bad, less free time, hard time catching up, stressful (source: experience)

Don't Notice – there are some greek fraternity houses, but i'm not involved in any

alot of places to eat however, pretty much all the food here is expensive, for an example: a round sandwich roughly 7 inch in diameter is around 6 dollar. Meal plan is a requirement for on-campus residents. meal plan prices seems reasonable, but i never had a meal plan. about 15 dollars a day for meal with the cheapest meal plan. these meal plans can't be use for off-campus food like domino.

Weather at Ohio State is so frustrating--but it is Ohio. Rain is the most incovenient because some o the roads can get flooded, but other than that it is not much of a problem. The university is good about cancelling class when the walkways are icy too.

Campus strictness if fair and firm. Students are encouraged to have fun but be safe. Penalties are never too harsh, but they are firmly enforced.

Off campus housing at Ohio State is way too expensive; we're college students! The value of the houses is not even close to the price. The parking is terrible as well. It's hard to find someone on campus who has never been towed or gotten a ticket. Availability is great. It wasn't hard to find a handful of houses to choose from.

Using Drugs – I guess that drugs/alcohol are out there for everyone. A lot of people use drugs. I personally do not use drugs nor do the friends I hang with. I am not around drug use. Alcohol is very popular on the weekends from what I see its pretty well controlled.

Good Campus Eats – Ohio State has many places to eat. Some of the Dorms even have dining halls in their buildings. They offer Sunday Brunch which is pretty good. The Student Union has a Food Court which is popular. The Campus has a lot different places to eat which gives you a variety of menu items. You can even use your meal plan at some of the off campus restaurants. Not bad.

Every Student Will Find a Job – My Major is Business Management. Once your in the Business School they will make sure your taking the right courses for your major, they help with getting a internship and they will most likely help you find a job in your major right after graduation.

Where to Go? Parking isn't that serious on campus. Park in the designated places and everything will be fine. Parking passes are expensive though and cost of parking without parking pass is unreasonable as well.

Guys & Girls:
Attractions Meet Nothing – Most of the typical student looks on campus are dry and too typical. Nothing exciting. The majority of students on Ohio States Campus are natives of Ohio & the style, personality, demeanor and up keeping of themselves are highly different from out of students. You can tell who is from Ohio and who isn't very finely. The social life is wonderful though and the interest into diverse things are great. Its durable, just culture shock.

Off Campus Living – There are many places to stay off campus. I would recommend that everyone stayed off campus, but then the selections may become limited. There are plenty of parking places with all of apartments/townhouses/houses. Safety would be a problem because some of the local residents or citizens who reside on streets act ignorant towards the college students. Some places are expensive and some are pretty reasonable.

Its Not Easy – there are alot of opportunities, it is just finding them and taking the time to apply, It can be difficult sometimes

Still Adjusting – This is a very big school, and coming from a small town it was a little difficult to find my place at first. However, I am slowly but surely finding where I belong, and I definitely would pick this school if I were to do it all over again. It has a great atmosphere and endless opportunities.

There are many different cultural and religious groups on campus, but there is not much interaction between the groups. While there are some exceptions, most students of the same race hang out with solely each other. However, everyone still accepts one another and there are no major problems.

Drackett Tower – This dorm would have been nice as a 2 person suite it was designed for, but for 4 people to share is very crowded. I understand that this was done because of the construction, but the bedroom feels and looks like a submarine quarter, and the study room has 4 desks and not much else. Having a private bathroom is nice, but beware if you're not used to cleaning your own, since housekeepking only cleans them once a quarter. The atmosphere depends on the people you have around. My floor is personally very private, and not much interaction between rooms.

It's Not Particularly My Thing, but I'm Doing Fine. I'm more inclined to languages and literature, but as a Biology major I'm exposed to little of that outside of general education courses. I hope to enter into the field of medicine, so biology seemed the best choice for major, but it lacks the subjects that I truly enjoy and excel in. Perhaps a bit more freedom in scheduling, in the first year especially.

Helped Me Get the Disbursement I Needed – I'm an honors student and carried a decent GPA out of high school; I was awarded a scholarship that was fairly generous, and the Honors program helped me to become aware of other opportunities. I was satisfied with the amount I received, but the larger scholarships are incredibly competitive.

Here at OSU, those of all academic disciplines have the chance to excel in almost any area of their choosing. I personally have come into contact with students of all academic persuasions, and have come to realize that areas of interest are so very widespread that curriculum must match the demand. As such, the curriculum here is rigorous, yet allows for freedom and flexibility which helps cater to the needs of the majority.

all the colleges assist with finding you an internship, easily found. usually unpaid but a great experience and can be used for credit
