Guys & Girls:
Super Smart Girls Who Are Pretty – It's very difficult to get accepted on to main campus for your first year because of the tough academic expectations (27 ACT, 3.8 GPA). Was pleasantly surprised with how hot smart girls can be. Interesting to talk to and look at.

Lots to Do. Never Bored! OSU is huge. There is always something to do both on campus as well as off campus. The south campus area has recently been renovated and has lots of restaurants, movie theatre, bars, stores. All students get a free COTA bus pass so we can take a bus downtown or anywhere we want to go!

Tradition Galore – Of course there are the basic things every campus has. However, I do not think that any campus has Ohio State's sense of tradition and unity. At some point during your college career, you will begin to bleed scarlet and grey,a dn it just will not ever end. Because of that, you are able to connect with not only people on campus, but alumini around the world.

Awesome Atmosphere to Begin – It is nice being able to take a majority of classes that you are actually interested inn and actually enjoy. Getting involved in student organizations has been the best thing that I have done so far, it is the best place to start to make friends. There is always someone doing something, and you can always find help with anything. Sporting events are a big deal, but there is always someone at your dorm to watch the game with. We have a vibrant student life that is always upbeat and friendly.

All Housing Unique in Its Own Way – Most underclassman live on-campus, which is very convinient for navigating the first few years of campus life. There is always something going on, either in your own dorm or somehwere else close by on campus. All the houses are nice, and all are different. Some do not have air conditioning, which is a downfalll. The move into the housing is extremely smooth and easy, which makes the first day there a whole lot better.

You pay a fee for using Columbus's bus system with your tuition. The COTA buses take you all around town and a fairly consistant, all you have to do is show your BuckID to get on them. The CABS buses run around campus and are really conveinient for getting from one end of campus to another quickly.

Freshmen aren't allowed to have cars on campus and it can be difficult to find on-street parking, but there are parking garages all over the place.

Beautiful Libraries – The main Library on Ohio State's Campus is amazing. Thompson Library big and beatiful, there are two fantastic reading rooms and 11 floors full of books and other research materials. Their is always a comfy chair open for studying in and the entire place is very well-kept. If you get hungry while studying there is a cafe on the first floor with delicious hot drinks and food.

Punishment Is Ehhh – Lots of warnings. Weed and alcohol are treated the same. Just dont be stupid and they dont mind

We Have School Spirit – The student and staff at OSU have a lot of school spriit. On game day you will usually hear the OH-IO chat from student and buckeye fans. There is not a place on campus where you will find someone not wearing scarlet and grey.

The computers on campus are up to date. There is a 9 cent charge per page when you print, 18 if the page is doudle sided. There is wireless access all over the campus if you are a student.

Great Dining Places – Many different places around Ohio State within walking distance. Some off my favorite fast food place are here like Wendy's and Chipotle.

Passes Get Expensive – Passes for on campus parking are limited and are difficult to come by close to classes. Its best to not get a pass and just use the public transit/CABS (Ohio State's own bus system) buses.

Requires Some Hunting – Living off campus is just as good as living in a dorm here for 1/3 the price. Some places are gonna be a little sketchy and you have to read the fine print on leases but if you do your research you can find a nice place to live for a reasonable price and within walking distance to campus

Awesome Wireless, Carry Your Laptop Anywhere – Wireless is great, good speed and decent signal strength also every building on campus has its own wi-fi so there are no dead spots. Access to public computers is limited and printing is hard to find unless you are near a library or writing center. Everyone carries laptops with them and use them whenever is needed. The only problem is trying to find an outlet when the battery goes dead.

Parking permits are several hundred dollars, even for the lots across the river. Most students park there (commuters and dorm residents) and take the campus bus to and from the main campus and classes. Surrounding campus, parking is also horrible. Very difficult to find a spot, and a lot of streets require permits to park on.

Huge Variety, but Not So Mixed – There is a HUGE variety of people at OSU. Hundreds, if not thousands, of countries, nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, cultural backgrounds, religions, and sexual orientations are represented. Unfortunately they could be better mixed, however. Many clubs, majors, housing options, etc are predominantly homogeneous. I never noticed any tension or anything as a result though.

Best School in the Nation – I love it here at Ohio State. There is not a club or event that you can think of that is not here. There is even a pizza eating club, seriously. There is help readily available to students who may be in need. The college itself is a self-sustaining city within a city. And no matter where you go in America, people know your college and someone who went here.

Varsity Sports – Ohio State has many top ranked teams in the country in sports. Where to start? Football, Did I mention football? The tradition in football is the highest and richest in the country. Our fans cover the world, and our team stay in the rankings year in and year out to point in which we are spoiled. Our Basketball team is also ranked highly in the nation and also has a rich tradiction of winning. And school spirit is al about O-H.....I-O.

The RPAC – The atletic facilities at OSU are second to none in the country. No matter what type of event you wish to participate in, OSU has it. There is rock climbing walls, Nike video lounge, multiple swimming pools, multiple level gyms and more weight lifting machines than the rest of Columbus, Ohio. The Student Union is freshly renovated to a modern state of the art facility that many Buckeye's are proud of. Everything you would think of in one of the top colleges in America.

financial aid was a bit of a pain, but that's to be expected. After a lot of work it was done and over with. My biggest tip is get started 2 months before you planed on starting, you'll need as much time as u can get to figure it out

Computer Science and Engineering – I am very happy with my major and would make the same decision again. I am not completely decided on my career goals but, I am not that worried about finding a job in my field.

Transportation on school is easy. There are buses that can take you anywhere around campus. And access to the Columbus city buses is included in your tuition so you can use your school id to take a city bus to get anywhere you need to go that the school buses to not go to.
College Senior 2011-10-10T21:29:05Z
I have never seen any form of discrimination on campus.

I was able to get a scholarship thru the College of Engineering that has been very helpful. There is a separate application, besides the university-wide application.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
