OSU is a pretty safe place to be, and the administrators expect the highest of all the students. BUT, that doesn't mean that they don't know what we do. Take Mirror Lake Jump (before the big Michigan game,) though the university does not promote it, they are providing EMT's incase of any emergencies that may occur. They love us here!

Off Campus Food – Columbus is a huge food city- so you literally have endless options when it comes to dining. Plus, almost everywhere takes your Buck I.D or gives you a discount for showing it. There are run of the mill places like Wendy's, OSU holes like Buck I Donuts and then there are higher end places like sushi houses.

The athletic centers are top notch, and in great areas accessible to all. Same thing goes with the libraries, which offer countless amounts of resources and study space. The campus as a whole is amazing, and there is always something to do, or some place that you haven't yet gone.

campus area buses are free for all students, travel all around campus and stop every 5-10 minutes during the day, with less frequent stops at night. some COTA buses also stop at these stops, and COTA buses go all over Columbus, and are free for OSU students. There is little need for a car on campus, and freshmen are not permitted to have a car on campus.

OSU has Mac desktops available in almost every building, and wireless internet is available all over campus, even outside. printing is available at libraries and the ohio union, but I have a personal printer because I can print for free.

Campus Life – Ohio State University campus life is the most liveliest campus known. Between school spirit and loving spirits nothing goes wrong

Policy Enforcement – Ohio State University makes it known that underage drinkers and people who are involved in illegal drugs will be disciplined and they are disciplined

Kinda What You Would Expect.. At a large university like Ohio State, you get everything and a lot of it. Large population of FOB Chinese students that only interact among themselves. Large Jewish population, that again seems to only interact among themselves- same goes with the African American students, however there are not as many. Over half the school is from Ohio, but everyone usually finds out-of-state kids to be interesting and coming from another state is usually "cool," however Ohioans have a certain degree of familiarity. Lots of diversity with regards to beliefs, and there is basically open forum to discuss- I've seen all-out debates and protests on the Oval.

Welcome to Cbus – Columbus is a great town to live in.. Not a huge city, but enough to keep a college student entertained without sacrificing safety. For the first two months here I literally went to two concerts a week. Every weekend students have the options to go to the bars not only on High Street but also downtown on Long or Park. There's enough variety to keep you happy. Wish there was an easy way to get to Polaris/Easton, but the buses don't really run that way so unless you have a car you won't be going there often. The shopping on High Street is OK and you can take a bus to get around town to other shops. Pretty much every fast food joint you could want is on High.

Its College – What you think of when you hear college but a lot more studying is probable necessary.

Depend on Who You Know – Most people aren't in to it but several are obviously big on it. Never cause a problem for others though.

Guys & Girls:
Small Town Feel – Everyone is friendly enough. You'll find a cliche pretty quick.

Ohio State Lima has easy access to parking. Close to campus and also close to the apartments there's no need to have to get to school really early.

Harding Highway Strip – There are a lot of fast food restaurants that do offer student discounts if we show our ID.

Students of many races and ethnicity make up the several religions at the Ohio State university. Students here respect one another for their values and beliefs.

There are many nearby apartments that provide a safe housing environment for college students. The University also offers affordable dorms to students with a 24/7 criminal watch for their safety both near dorms and off-campus as well as around the campus itself.

Love It! Glad I Came Here. I love OSU and am very happy I made the decision to attend here. I am pleasantly surprised that there is really no pressure to drink here and lots of kids don't. You can drink if you want to but I like that there isn't pressure to do so. You are accepted the way you are. Not as many super-geeky kids that I expected as well. I really appreciate it that girls don't have to pretend that they are stupid here.

Guys & Girls:
Super Smart Girls Who Are Pretty – It's very difficult to get accepted on to main campus for your first year because of the tough academic expectations (27 ACT, 3.8 GPA). Was pleasantly surprised with how hot smart girls can be. Interesting to talk to and look at.

Lots to Do. Never Bored! OSU is huge. There is always something to do both on campus as well as off campus. The south campus area has recently been renovated and has lots of restaurants, movie theatre, bars, stores. All students get a free COTA bus pass so we can take a bus downtown or anywhere we want to go!

Tradition Galore – Of course there are the basic things every campus has. However, I do not think that any campus has Ohio State's sense of tradition and unity. At some point during your college career, you will begin to bleed scarlet and grey,a dn it just will not ever end. Because of that, you are able to connect with not only people on campus, but alumini around the world.

Awesome Atmosphere to Begin – It is nice being able to take a majority of classes that you are actually interested inn and actually enjoy. Getting involved in student organizations has been the best thing that I have done so far, it is the best place to start to make friends. There is always someone doing something, and you can always find help with anything. Sporting events are a big deal, but there is always someone at your dorm to watch the game with. We have a vibrant student life that is always upbeat and friendly.

All Housing Unique in Its Own Way – Most underclassman live on-campus, which is very convinient for navigating the first few years of campus life. There is always something going on, either in your own dorm or somehwere else close by on campus. All the houses are nice, and all are different. Some do not have air conditioning, which is a downfalll. The move into the housing is extremely smooth and easy, which makes the first day there a whole lot better.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
