A Little Slow

OSU is a large and inflexible bureaucracy, and it's financial aid notifications reflect that. I received a small amount of money for my academics and a slightly larger amount from the School of Music in a talent scholarship, but I did not know about these until a few days before I graduated. This was a little frustrating. I have heard that the OSU School of Music has lost a few good DMA students (and potential TA's) due to the slow response times from the OSU financial aid office.

Not So Good for Transfers

I was a transfer student and it is really hard to get assistance, especially in the form of scholarships. If I had came here first, I would have been able to get much more financial aid.
