I've never had an internship at Ohio University. I'd like to have one my junior or senior year though. I don't have any concerns because OU is great with helping people find some and coaching them through the process.

I love living on campus at Ohio University. The dorms have a great atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and nice. Every room has heating/cooling systems, WiFi, cable, microwaves, refrigerators, desks, and chairs provided at no extra charge. The housing process is easy to apply and switch rooms. It can be a little pricy when you look at the suites but overall it's not too bad.

Every game that you attend there is also tons of students that go. It's a big part of campus life and it's great to see everyone want to support our athletes. There is always school spirit before big rivalry games and championship games. Everyone dresses up and has BBQ's and tailgates to celebrate.

Parking permits are kind of expensive but not really when you compare them to other colleges. The ticketing prices are reasonable. You honestly don't need a car on campus if you live in the dorms like me. Everything is close so you could just walk and for things that aren't, you can take a bus or taxi and they aren't expensive at all. Parking is usually okay in the morning but afternoon the spaces fill up quickly.

Ohio University is known as a party school. I personally only go out on the weekends because I have class during the week. Some of my friends go out during the week, though, and have a lot of fun. There is a lot of things to do other than party also. You can go bowling, ice skating, swimming, movies, etc.

The financial aid process was very easy at Ohio University. They have walk-in advising for students all year so if you have any problems or questions you can ask them and receive help. They are great for disbursing scholarships and grants to people who need them the most. They also offer a lot of financial aid for those in need.

The weather in Athens, Ohio varies from day to day. Sometimes it is freezing cold and sometimes it is really hot. The weather doesn't really affect my campus experience because the buildings are close together so it's not a far walk. Also they are really good at making sure the heat is on in the winter and air conditioning is on in the summer.

Ohio University doesn't supply computers to every student but they have a huge library with a lot of computers available. They also have cheap printing and some majors even offer free printing to students. The network is overall reliable and fairly fast. The University provides every student with a password to the wireless service and it's easy to access from anywhere on campus. You don't necessarily need a personal computer unless you want it for social purposes. Also, you don't need a printer because the library has a lot. And the professors will usually print off papers for you if you email it to them.

If I could do it all over again, I would still chose Ohio University. I love it here for a lot of reasons. They people are always so friendly and nice. Whenever you have a problem or need help, someone is always there for you. They also have a lot of great resources like a leadership center, academic center, and many more things to help you with your major, career, and classes.Plus it has over 400 student organizations to get you involved. Overall, Ohio University has everything you need to succeed in college and that's why I love it here.

I think Ohio University is a strict campus but it's for the good of the students. Since it is known as a party school, I think they have to crack down and make sure people are following the rules. If someone is caught underage drinking they get in a lot of trouble. I think it discourages other students from doing things because they know they will get in trouble.

I think the transportation is great at Ohio University. They have a variety of different buses so you're almost guaranteed to get a ride when you need it. The Ohio University shuttle bus is completely free. The Athens transit bus is only a dollar. So it is very affordable. They also have long distance, on campus, and local stops.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T16:12:57Z
Transportation options are available, but not necessary. Anywhere you need to go on campus you can reach within ten minutes of walking.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T16:11:56Z
The off-campus dining options are great and can satisfy and craving for any mood you're in. There are more expensive restaurants for nice, sit down dinners. But there are also local fast food options for your late night cravings.

Ohio University has a reputation of having "the best fans in the MAC" and we uphold that standard. There is definitely a large amount of students that stray away from Varsity athletics but the ones that do attend the games are very enthusiastic about their Bobcat sports teams.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T16:06:51Z
Some of the food available at the dining halls is extraordinary, but some of it is pretty mediocre. But you can always find something to eat.
College Freshman 2013-11-25T16:05:19Z
The students at Ohio University are extremely open to other people and other cultures. There doesn't seem to be much intolerance towards other people and lifestyles.

Guys & Girls:
Everyone has a common goal of getting out and meeting new people. The focus isn't generally on "hooking up" but more so on making friends and connections at Ohio University.

In complete honesty, I wouldn't go back. It's too routine. I go to class then go home. I don't associate with anyone there and I dread going. I want a place where I feel comfortable.
College Freshman 2013-11-15T16:54:56Z
I haven't gained much experience in my major because I'm still just a beginning freshman. What I have experienced is an introductory class. The adjunct wasn't very knowledgeable on the state requirements of the program. Although, the effort he put in to understanding them was strong. If my first class that is suppose to introduce me to my major isn't very informative, how am I suppose to know all my other classes are going to be better? I don't, so I'm switching colleges.
College Freshman 2013-11-15T16:54:56Z
Everything is simple. It wasn't hard or strenuous to register and begin classes. The classes are easy and don't give a large workload. But, I don't feel like I'm learning or being prepared for anything.

Ohio University Southern Campus has been an okay school. I've seen much better, but it doesn't feel like it has a lot to offer and students don't seem to do much around campus other than go to class and leave. I want a college I feel I can stick around at and feel comfortable in. I like to study and finish my assignments on campus, but the awkward feeling of the school is too much so I leave as soon as my classes are over.
