The campus offers a beautiful blend between architecturally-stunning, century-old buildings and state-of-the art facilities. The main landmark of OWU is its beautiful University Hall, built over 100 years ago. University Hall is still in very good shape after getting some needed rehabilitation in 1997. In the middle of campus is the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center (Ham-Wil). Many students can be found under its bright green roof studying, socializing, eating, or listening to the piano music played by students in the lobby. Recently, the new Conrades-Wetherell Science Center was dedicated, marking the completion of the largest new facility on campus. This state-of-the-art, 150,000-square-foot building is home to its own library, new labs, and many new classrooms. Its modern amenities include some very technologically advanced science equipment including a scanning electron microscope.

Ohio Wesleyan has very good facilities for a campus of its size, and most are up-to-date. There are some places in need of renovations, and those are on the University’s priority list for a makeover. Specifically, Edwards Gym is being remodeled, and the University has actively raised funds to create a new athletic facility and natatorium. Overall, the buildings give the campus an old-fashioned feel that a great University should give its visitors, but most are still in very good condition.

Student Center Is Great!

HamWil is where it's at! With its shouting green colored roof, you definitely cannot miss. The most popular dining hall is located here. Students meet here for study dates and various clubs have the meetings. Its probably busiest place on campus and its nice to hang out with friends and just relax here.

Campus

All the facilities on campus here are great and a lot have been recently upgraded. Like athletics, the library, and the dorms. But campus is very much on top of things and is very understanding to student needs.

Facilities

Some of the OWU facilities are above average, while others are way below average. The new Meek Aquatic Center is beautiful, and a great addition to campus. Edwards gymnasium is old and needs remodeling. Hayes and Stuy dorms are old and need repairs, though in reality they serve their purpose. Smith is a new up-to-date dorm with a cafeteria on the main level which is nice.

Favorite Things To Do

Even though the town of Delaware is sometimes a bore, there are always things to do on campus. During the day, it isn’t uncommon on the walk back from class to see a game of ultimate Frisbee on Bashford Hall lawn, a soccer practice, a group continuing their cricket match from the day before, an artist or two painting outside, and students studying outside the library. You can always find something to do. In the evening, people love to just hang out in people’s rooms, the lounges, and fraternity houses.

There are countless student organizations always holding parties and events open to every student on campus. There is a daily bulletin published online and in print in the Ham-Wil Campus Center that shows a schedule of what is on tap throughout the next few days.
