Lack of Public Transportation Makes Students Dependent on Those Students With Cars.
The lack of public transportation leaves students with no choice but to find entertainment around the Delaware area or be dependent on students with cars. There is no public transportation to Columbus other than the Data Bus which runs at odd hours (mostly when students have classes) and only on the weekdays. The cheapest cab ride is $50 to Columbus and other than that, students have to ask each other for rides every time they want to get off campus.
Students with cars have to pay a parking pass fee and any cars parked without a pass are fined. So overnight visitors have to find space on the street, which are usually full anyway.
